Chic & bright flat near Holyrood Park

Spacious, well appointed, clean

Bed up a steep set of steps. It smelled of stale cigarettes despite no smoking rule. I had to open the windows on the second night to air it out, despite it being very cold outside and this helped freshen the apartment.

I like the location and facility. It's very cute little apartment with everything what you need. 30 minutes walk to the city center so you don't spend time and money for traveling to the Edinburgh attractions. Thanks to the owner. Mario allowed us to do the late checkout as we came for two nights only and wanted to catch up as much as could but would be difficult with carrying the cases. Once again, the facility is highly recommended: location, comfort and cleanliness.

Host was super nice and accommodating. Was able to check-in a little earlier and check-out a little later. Shower was great (continental European standard), smart use of space. Can highly recommend.

Very good location. Able to walk to the major attractions in the city, One of the beds is a built-in. It is very high up which may not be suitable for some guests. I found it cozy and comfortable.

Everything was fine. The building and neighborhood are very old, but it felt safe when leaving and returning from the apartment. Close to a lovely park.

The apartment is by a large park for hiking that gave you a great view of the city, if you hiked to the top. Walking through the park to get to the Royal Mile was enjoyable. The apartment was very well equipped with spices, oil, etc. Mario, the manager, was friendly and efficient. He met us on arrival and let us in without any hassle. The street parking is permit only. Even though Mario registered our plate, we got a ticket. Mario did pay the ticket, so I suspect he'll work out what went wrong.

Entry into the apartment provided an 'old' Edinbough experience that was concerning until you saw inside. It is a bit of a walk to get to things. Distance wasn't the problem, more so that I wouldn't feel comfortable walking through the park or neighborhood at night. It's probably fine, but we were 2 women traveling and more cautious than many.

Nice clean bathroom. Kitchen is fully equipped.

The main bedroom's bed is in a loft, you climb on the tops of the stepped cabinets, and there is no railing. A little sketchy when you climb down to go pee in the middle of the night. Also the bed is quite soft. There are two other beds that you have to make up from the sofa (sofa-bed's)
