Our 2nd stay and thankfully the sun shone ☺️ Lovely little place to stay, sample the fantastic food at the pub and do some walks too. Excellent accommodation, comfy bed and great facilities. Communications were fast & helpful.

Great location and well kitted out. Very comfortable.

There were one or two cobwebs, the shower needed de-scaling and my socks were covered in dog hair from walking on the floors

The position, cleanliness and ease of booking process

The only small worry was the steps up, but only if people staying have mobility problems

"Great location but very tired apartment"

6.0

Location is perfect to enjoy this beautiful village

The property seemed fusty and tired. The windows hadn't been cleaned for a long time and the outside area and steps looked unkempt

"A wonderful stay and highly recommend!"

9.0

A lovely, characterful, spacious and well appointed one bedroom apartment above the village shop. The kitchen, although small, had everything you needed and we did cook a meal one night. The lounge is spacious, comfortable and practical ( wooden floors) if you have a dog with you. We appreciated the log wood-burner and it was very cosy with that on. The bedroom was a good size and comfortable with a television, comfy bed, armchair and dressing table. As other reviewers mentioned, the shower has a low head height due to the sloping roof but we aren’t tall enough for it to bother us. Nice looking freestanding bath. Loved dinner at the Dabbling Duck over the road, breakfast in the Cartshed below and getting groceries in the village shop. The welcome cookies, tea, coffee and milk were much appreciated. The owner is extremely helpful and communication was excellent. The heating was switched on before our arrival.

Nothing not to like unless you are really tall and may struggle with the shower. Also bear in mind that there are metal steps up to the Hideaway. It didn’t matter to us as we already knew about them.
