The Folly

We loved the patio especially the egg chairs, weather was pretty good so was able to walk around Ludlow, which is so pretty. The castle is a must visit too, lots of small cafes for coffee, lunch etc. We had a lovely relaxing couple of days. Thank you

The garden certainly needs a little tlc. But didn't spoil our visit atall

Light and airy. We were blessed with glorious weather, so could make the most of the little terrace which was just lovely. I felt it was good value overall.

Few niggles - as other reviewers have mentioned, musty smell in bedroom and pillows and duvet smelled musty. Given this has been mentioned numerous times it is disappointing that it appears that nothing has been done to fix it. The shower fixing was broken so we had to wedge it into place to use it. This also should have been fixed. Tea caddy in kitchen but was empty. Had obviously been used in the past but not refilled.

Good location.

Not easiest to access. Property needed a good clean, there were cobwebs inside the cutlery drawer. Shower riser rail doesn't allow for the shower head to be raised at all. Furniture was not comfy. Decked area was okay, could do with the plants trimming back and cobwebs clearing from railings and also some decent cushions. Could also do with a blind on the conservatory window to keep a bit more private and keep the sun out.

Garden quite overgrown, including brambles overhanging the path which is a shame as it spoils the view

Stylish decor, fixtures and fittings. Complimentary bottle of red vegan wine, shortbread biscuits and milk in the fridge. Decking/terrace and surrounding garden providing a relaxing outdoor space. Calm, peaceful ambiance throughout.

Communication regarding the code number to access keys from safe on arrival. Bedroom seemed to have a slightly damp and musty atmosphere. Duvet and pillows had a down/feather filling - not suitable for people with an allergy or for ethical reasons and also noisy when turning over, trying to get to sleep. Also the duvet was rather thick and too warm for the time of year.
