Private En-Suite

No key given for main door but it can be locked from the inside, ended up being locked out for 20 minutes in the rain. Contacted them and was told the last customer has taken the key so there was only ever 1 main door key but there are 5 flats? Wasn't responsible enough to ensure that they inform other guests to not lock the main door. Booking was for 2 guests and was given a large single bed, very disappointed with the overall experience.

Location, well equipped with fridge, microwave, iron and hairdryer.

The floor in the room was extremely sticky and the brown stains on the floor are really unsightly im aware they are only rust marks but they look like something rather more unhygienic. We found food in the room that was extremely smelly and may have been there a while. The room really smelt very musky and really not nice, when we arrived the window was open and we thought the smell may have come from outside. However this wasn’t the case as even with the window closed the smell of the room when entering was rather unpleasant. The bed was well, after staying in lots of hotels I am not one to complain however it was so sloped due to the floor being so far out of level we just couldn’t sleep, I ended up packing up one side of the bed legs with towels to try and make the bed reasonable level so we could lay in bed and not roll out! The bed was very uncomfortable however don’t feel like this is something to complain about as not a massive issue as this may be a personal thing. However the pillows, were not even pillows they were basically small balls of cotton and to be totally honest I have never not been able to sleep due to the pillows and this time they were so bad I used my jumpers instead. The toilet macerator makes a noise all night even when we are both in bed and haven’t used the toilet, shower or sink for hours. The noise is extremely loud and quite irritating, It didn’t wake us up as we never got to sleep in the first place with the uneven bed and pillows. The bedroom door of number 6 is so difficult to open that my girlfriend couldn’t go to the room alone as she couldn’t push the door, I’m aware it has a fire closure which is needed but these is an issue with this door that needs addressing. The white wall next to the bed is covered in some sort of grease or cleaning fluid that you can smell when lying in bed it’s really rather disgusting. The window handle mechanism is so stiff it’s takes a great amount of effort to lock or close the window.

Bathroom door wouldn't close as the hinges were lose and the top one almost falling off the door frame. Front door to unit, (note this was not the road access door) was jamming and so tight my wife couldn't even open it. She uses medical equipment and needs a power point on left hand side of bed head. There was none and the extension lead I found in the drawer was out of test date and had damaged socket. I would not have passed it as being safe under a test and tag regime. Unsafe!

I’ve stayed a few times and I’ve never had a problem. The property has everything I need

It was a little unclean with an unknown smell. But as I’ve never had that problem before i don’t think it was something to complain about
