Very quirky and cute cabin with stunning views, parking and a comfortable bed.

Unfortunately, we arrived during Storm Floris and there was no power. I contacted the host who told me to try the fuse box but this was locked away in a wooden cupboard that had been screwed shut. We then tried contacting the host again but due to poor signal took some time. They were very helpful but we ended up having to break into the fuse box cupboard and then it turned out the whole village was off anyway! Quite pricey for size compared to some of the other places we have stayed but the views were stunning and is good location for NC500 route.

The beds. It doesn't matter how much the stay costs, beds particularly mattresses, are important and should be comfortable.

What a great place to stay. Beautiful view. Very clean and comfortable with everything anyone could possibly need. The lodge really was well equipped. We were only passing through, so we only stayed one night but could easily have seen ourselves staying longer another time.

Nothing to dislike.

"Mesmerising views"

The location with the breathtaking view alone should be the reason to return to this amazing lodge. The lodge had basic facilities and was quite compact and met all our needs well. Thanks for the pint of milk left for us - much appreciated.

Was a bit worried about the gaps in the fencing in the front as my little pugs were easily able to slip out into the grassland in the front.

Attention to detail, amazing use of space, gorgeous view. I’d just finished a week cycle tour and this was the perfect restful time.

A shepherd's hut right on the JOG trail in the middle of Culbokie, with a glorious view down to the Cromarty Firth.

I didn't see my hosts at all. The hut was very cramped. They provided tea things but no milk.
