We booked and paid for and two night stay here, only to receive a call from Booking.com the next day to say the host had taken a booking for more nights with someone else on a different booking site, so the place was no longer available. This completely disrupted our travel plans as there was no where else we could stay on those nights. Furthermore, there was no apologetic email from the hosts, rather they just sent a message with no other inormation than 'you need to cancel this with booking.com' even though that had already been done, over the phone. I have worked in holiday letting and as a host it is your responsibility to keep the avsilability of your property updated on the different sites. There are apps that automate that for you. But if you do mess up, a little humility and apology would go a long way. Very poor experience.

It is a self catering property. Location was convenient.

Given the three year out of date key code by Booking .com! This required a telephone call to the owner to obtain the correct number. The malfunctioning hot water supply to the bathroom wash basin. Hot water was provided by an 'instant' electric heater which repeatedly tripped out. This system was in a box with exposed live mains wiring an with an unsecured cover. So no hot water or a safe arrangement.

Lovely quiet location, loved the outdoor space. Nice comfy bed.

The property is old and needs some TLC. There was a leak under the sink and looks like a leak under the washing machine as the floor boards are wet. The property could do with a deep clean. A booklet with instructions how to access hot water in bathroom and sky TV would be useful.

From the moment we stepped into the apartment we were captivated. The location is simply unbeatable – nestled right on Porthmadog's bustling harbour, you're treated to a constantly changing panorama of boats bobbing on the water, the majestic mountains of Snowdonia in the distance, and the vibrant life of the town unfolding before you. The apartment itself was a haven of comfort and peace. Very clean and thoughtfully furnished, it provided everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The open-plan living area was bright and airy. The kitchen was well-equipped, making self-catering a breeze. We spent hours just gazing over the terrace, watching the world go by. The proximity to Porthmadog's shops, restaurants, and attractions was also a huge plus. We could easily stroll to grab fresh food, explore the local boutiques, or hop on the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway for a scenic adventure. This harbourside apartment is an absolute gem, and we can't wait to return! Highly recommended.

I'm really sorry to say - not much at all. Look, this is going to sound like we're Miserables, but we're not! If we were, we would have walked in, walked out, and gone home and complained immediately. But we didn't. We tried to make the best of it, but every day, something else was awful. What did we LIKE? Leaving. We liked leaving. Honestly, I want to say something positive, so - having access to tv streaming. That was a good thing, we didn't really use it, because we didn't like being there, but good for a couple of hours at the end of long days making sure we weren't in.

I was going to just copy my previous messages to your not human complaints department. But I can't because there's too many, so: THE HIGHLIGHTS Sorry, but - this propety is nowhere near up to standard. It's uncertain whether any of it has actually been cleaned. A few of the problems with the cleaning: There are dog hairs in the bed and on the sofa cushions. Obviously this is completely unacceptable. We like dogs but not really sleeping in other peoples' dogs hair. We spent a very itchy night wondering if in fact any of the bedding had been washed, but there not being much we could do about. Before this, we had tried to make the best of it, but: 1. Crockery and cutlery in the kitchen are not clean. The kitchens cupboards are not clean, are tatty and are sticky to the touch 2. Floors are dusty and clumps in the corner of every room 3. Sticky crusty stains on the sofa 4. Every room feels dusty, rugs are not clean 5. Open box of wiring in the bathroom 6. The smell of sewage when you open the door to the second loo is awful and it's next to the kitchen, so we're not using it. Even if we did want to, an ironing board is blocking the sink 7. Hoover had been left leaning against a sofa but it doesn't seem to have been used 8. Half of the light bulbs don't work 9. Almost every surface from floor boards to tables is chipped 10. The key safe was not locked when we arrived 11. The only even bear evidence of cleaning was that the sponge left next to the sink was covered in white spirit - which we realised when we tried to drink out of mugs we had just cleaned with it. 12. None of the inner doors shut properly 13. Advertised as having one king double bed and one twin zip up bed. It's actually two zip up twin beds - that is not alright. It got worse after that. This is CRAZY. ALL OF IT. Please refer to VERY extra things that were wrong with this rental on the complaints page.

Location. The cottage/apartment will be be lovely when works are completed. Bedding well presented

Renovation work in progress. It would have been good to have been told about brick dust beforehand my husband has an allergy to dust etc. Also rugs on polished floors are not really safe.
