The Garden Flat, Loch Lomond

Fairly easy to find. Clean and comfortable.

The binder with information was missing most of the information the front label said was included. It took a moment to figure out the shower.

Unfortunately we much prefer to fill out this box, however we are unable to pass on any positive feedback for this property and highly advise reading our summary below prior to booking this property.

BLACK MOULD IN EVERY WINDOW AND SHOWER, THE CLEANLINESS OF THE COOKING APPLIANCES WAS POOR AND TRAYS COVERED IN GREACE, THE LOCATION LOOKED A LOT NICER ON GOOGLE MAPS HOWVER UPON ARRIVING YOU ARE ON A BUSY ROAD AND VERY RUN DOWN AREA OF ALEXANDRIA ( NEED WE MENTION THE SMASHED IN BACK DOOR & LOUD NEIGHBOURS) THE BACK GARDEN IS NOT PRIVATE AND SHARED AMONG THE OTHER BUILDING RESIDENTS WITH A PLEASANT VIEW OF THE ROAD, THE GARDEN ALSO SMELLED OF WEED WITH LITTLE TO NO FENCES LEFT STANDING ( 0 PRIVACY). UPON COMPLAINING TO THE HOST THEY WERE FOUL MOUTHED DOWN THE PHONE AND UNWILLING TO ACCEPT THE CONDITION OF THE PROPERTY ( WE LEFT THE PROPERTY WITHIN AN HOUR OF ARRIVING TO FIND ALTERNATE ACCOMMODATION IN THE AREA AT 9:30PM). Details: Following this we raised a complaint directly with booking.com with photo evidence of the flat's condition which has been passed on to the host, to which we have been met with the same unpleasant and unaccepting response from the host rejecting any form of compensation. I would like to stress that we have been told that this is due to it being an old property, however owning a 17th century farm house we know that this is far from a valid excuse and I would advise anyone looking to stay here to look elsewhere. Please also see the pictures taken below as this was from when we arrived... The host post us raising this complaint informed us that they had immediately gone down to the flat ( 3 days ago) and have informed booking.com of a video they have taken with the property "spotless" so you might end up luckier than we did for the next few stays.... Overall appalling.

Es ist nicht sauber, es hat Blutflecken auf der Bettdecke, der Kühlschrank riecht unangenehm und alles ist sehr runtergekommen. Es war trotz Heizung sehr kalt.

The flat had everything you need, kitchen is well equipped,washing machines is available as well.

The Mattress was horrible extremely uncomfortable. The shower is terrible,could be better, The stairs and hallway outside could be cleaner and cleanliness of the flat mostly the kitchen and dishes.

Great little place!

Everything was better than I expected. The flat was small but perfectly set out. There was enough room for 2 adults and 2 children. The main bed was really comfortable, and the sofa bed was great for the kids as they could wake up in the morning and watch tv, including Sky. The kitchen was fitted out with everything we needed, toaster, microwave, cooker and even a washing machine. It was quiet, and having the on street parking meant we didn't have to walk too far with our cases. The location made it perfect for trips to Loch Lomond, Stirling, The Trossachs, and Glasgow. The next time we're in the area, we'll definitely book it again.

There was nothing we didn't like.

The flat was comfy, had everything you needed, and in a good position to reach different amenities.

However, we had to leave the second day as the door of the flat had the barrel of the handle missing, and we were just relying our safety on a simple Yale lock, that can't be locked with a key from the inside. We slept poorly as we were worried for our safety since the flat was on a ground floor, and the main building door was always open. When we contacted the host about the issue, they mentioned that a previous host had snapped the key while opening the door, and there wasn't much time left for repair before our arrival. We would have appreciated being told about it before we arrived, as we would have looked for another place to stay.

Clean&cozy flat, little to no noise from neighbours, good information on where to go in the surrounding area, view and access to the little garden, Sky TV programme included, great hot water, very comfortable bed, big fridge and freezer

Not too much room to store bigger suitcases, space on the table was a bit small
