Margate Sunset Retreat - Direct Sea Views

Everything. The location right by the sea was perfect - the furniture all great - kitchen well equipped- everything seemed new. And the little touch of leaving milk in the fridge (when I’d forgotten some) was very welcome! And no list of requirements at check out- all very easy!

Maybe the curtains could be a bit more blackout this time of year.

T.V wasn't working properly, couldn't get it working, called the number given on booking.com and and nice chap turned up and tried to fix it but had no luck, luckily I had my tablet and was able to cast on the telly from that.

It had a car parking space

We arrived during gale force winds with the temperature rated at minus 1. There was no heating and when it did work it was only for a little time as it was on timer. We were freezing and there was a cupboard with extra blankets but it was locked. The kitchen was so small and had no dishwasher, not even a cutlery drawer. The bathroom was tiny, we have had bigger bathrooms on a cruise ship. The wi-fi kept dropping out. There was a washing machine as advertised but no dryer but there was a clothes horse but no pegs. We had No heating to help dry the clothes so we had to find a laundry mat. It did not meet our expectations from the picture showed.

Lovely appointment in a fabulous location! We loved watching the sunsets and the best was being so close to the beach! Whatever the weather we were on there every day. We’re retired and I have mobility problems, so apart from a few stairs it wasn’t a major issue. We had pretty much everything we needed, apart from getting used to slow internet speeds (we are lucky to have super fast fibre at home) but hey, we didn’t travel nearly 200 miles to sit and watch tv!! Amenities were pretty good, taxis very cheap! We visited Hornby visiter centre which was a great day out, had lunch there too! All in all, apart from the weather, we were happy with our choice of holiday thanks Beth 🙏

Slow internet 🤣

Location was great , but property very tired , & is in an old building , windows hard to open , didn’t fasten properly Had very sweep old Lino . Some lights didn’t have working lights & property came with a car park behind , but impossible to park a car if the 2 other parks were used , especially with a rental car, if your cautious to scratch .

As above , the property is old’ tired
