The Old Vicarage self-contained apartments

The shower was soo good! Perfect for me and the dog on a walking holiday! The price was great and everything we needed. Found a good trail to bishops castle in the morning too and back which was nice

the location was superb with spectacular night skies. had issues with the booking company, but these were resolved by the owner.

perhaps a slightly more comfy bed, personal choice I know, but we found the bed slightly on the hard side.

Very clean. Lovely studio apartment. Good emergency provisions for travellers, tea, coffee, milk, pot noodles.

We had a lovely 2 night stay at the Old Vicarage, it was clean, comfortable and had all we needed for our stay. We were met by Duncan who is a very nice chap and showed us our apartment. The kitchenette is basic but was fine for what we needed, and there is a good powered shower in the bathroom. Easy to find, plenty of parking and some beautiful countryside surrounding for walks from the door. There is a village shop open for limited hours but we had no need to visit over the weekend. There is also a pub which looked good but again we didn't visit on this occasion. We would definitely return for another visit to explore the area further.

Straight forward booking. Great communication with host prior to stay. Keys are entry and host called to check all was ok. Appreciated the welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, soup and porridge which was a really nice touch.

The TV was so small and the duvet was really heavy.

Breakfast cereal was great,the location is brilliant for us as we love exploring new places of which this location has plenty of.

There was nothing we disliked,even the weather was good for us.

The location was good, in a quiet village, but with the facilities of a village shop and a pub within walking distance. Lovely dog walks from the door. Bishops Castle is a few minutes away by car, and lovely Church Stretton and the Long Mynd are approx 15 minutes away by car.

This is functional accommodation, providing the basics for an overnight stay. Neighbouring apartments are very close and it could be disconcerting to have other people so close to your room that they can see in through the window and door. I found the mattress to be very hard - and I like a firm mattress! - and it is only a queen size bed.

Spacious Clean Kitchen area was a bonus
