The Old Vicarage self-contained apartments

Very nice location. The owner was very pleasant and helpful on arrival. The bathroom was excellent. Proper facilities and comfortable.

Nothing of merit.

This was meant to be an apartment, self catering, but in reality it was no more than a bedsit, an overcrowded, claustrophobic little room with a small, uncomfortable double bed. Very dated and the windowsill in the bathroom could do with some freshening up. Hard, unforgiving flooring, and quite dingy and dated. Just too much furniture for such a small room which, beside a bed, had a large wardrobe, dressing table/cum dining table, two chairs, a sofa, small kitchenette and fridge. There was a microwave strategically placed so that when I retrieved some milk from the fridge, I knocked my head on two occasions. We were booked in for two nights, but at 3am on the first night, having had little sleep because of a really uncomfortable bed, we decided to leave and three hours later were home. We are seasoned travellers, and had just spent two nights in a lovely hotel in York, that was cheaper than the "apartment" and came with full breakfasts. It is a complete misnomer to describe this as a "self contained apartment". It is a BEDSIT!

Turn this into a double bedroom, and provide a basic continental breakfast in the main house, as the kitchenette is very inadequate. Porridge and cereals are provided, but that is very poor in this day and age.

Lovely location slept really well, nice to use owners garden's Duncan very friendly, nice Sunday lunch at local pub

Great accommodation for a couple, in a small village, very clean and comfortable 👌 The local Powis Arms made it for us though, the locals were so friendly and welcoming 🙏
