The booking cost was not refundable and only after booking are you notified of the £250 deposit + £5 admin fee which is held for the period from booking to 14 days after. (I have still to receive mine at day 14) The identification process through 'Superhog' is ridiculous and involved 3 attempts at uploading my passport photo. I felt we shared far too much personal information with the agent but all of this is after the non-refundable payment has been made. We also continued to receive this ID email 2 or 3 times after successfully uploading our data. As with other reviews, it is wrong to class this as a 2 bed unless you are travelling with your own children. The bathroom is through the main bedroom and friends could not use this property as a 2 bed. 'Stylish' is a subjective term but I would advise you manage your expectations if you think stylish suggests high quality decor and comfortable furnishings. The shared entrance resembles a homeless shelter.

Good location, walking distance from the town centre but on a quiet road with a late opening mini-supermarket at the end of it. Property was well equipped.

Unsuitable for anyone other than single guest or a couple as the one bathroom is only accessible via one of the bedrooms (it's an ensuite). This should've been made absolutely clear in the advert and the property should not be allowed to be offered to groups larger than two people. The furniture was also different to the pictures: shabby, dark and dated.

Good location handy to castle, central shopping area, and train station, but on a fairly quiet residential street. Smooth check-in process. Decent space for our family of four, and well equipped (e.g. washing machine in bathroom, with washing powder). Wi-fi and parking permit provided (although we didn't need the latter). Helpful online property manual.

There was an additional online identity verification process and damage deposit payable, which I hadn't expected having gone through booking.com. Bathroom light didn't work (so we needed to take a torch in at night), which property manager tried, but was unable, to remedy during our stay. Also, bathroom was only accessible through main bedroom, meaning we were woken by our kids in the middle of the night when they needed to use it (and I wouldn't recommend the property for groups of friends).

It was close to amenities, river and park. The apartment was very clean.

You had to go through another bedroom to use the bathroom.

It was a great location, close to Windsor for the castle and shopping. The place inside was clean and a good layout for families.

There was only one key to the door and it locks behind you. We locked ourselves out and the owners were not contactable. It was a very anxious few hours at 11 o clock at night with 3 children, unable to get into the house or contact anyone. We ended up paying over £200 to a locksmith to open the door. A second key would be essential to future guests and a number that guests could contact in case of emergency. There was work going on in the little outdoor space at the back of the property with scaffolding and nails etc on the ground. We were a little freaked out when we locked the gate to the alley and hung out clothes only to come back later to find the clothes piled up on a clothes horse (the builders obviously broke the clothes line when they entered the back gate and picked up the clothes off the ground) and the back gate was open again. We were not informed that there would be anyone around the property during our stay.
