Location and well equipped

It’s a basement flat, it’s dark and the bedroom window opens onto a brick wall, the bathroom has no windows and is cold and feels damp. We had peeling paint in one corner by the shower and the fan was encrusted in dirt - host very responsive however we really didn’t want the plumber out while we’re staying there and it was obvious the problem had been there a while!

It was very private and felt secure in the area. Easy to collect keys from locked box. Bed was comfy, shower was good. Oven was easy enough to use. Walking distance to the centre, street parking not a problem as given a parking permit from the host. There was a lovely walk by the river close by, lots of places to eat nearby and a coop round the corner, as we forgot milk

The only issue we had whilst there, was that we couldn't seem to lock the front door from the inside once we had settled in. Luckily there was another entrance on the street, so we ended up just walking back and locking the door that way and then only used the street entrance the rest of the time

Excellent location, great layout, clean. This apartment is for sale and my partner and I actually considered it. But put off by the leasehold yearly costs.

Only thing I struggled with was the back stairs into the apartment due to awaiting knee surgery. But a great surprise was another entrance / exit with just a couple of steps out to street level.

Amazing comfortable bed, plenty of room

This is just an idea going forward, a clearer signpost to the building as we went past it a few times before realising it was on the gate. Rules are a bit confusing on the heating, the place was extremely hot but that was owing to reading the rules wrongly

Lovely stylish apartment. Very clean. Everything you need is organised in a practical way and easy to find. Agent helpful. Short walk into York,so never needed to use the car during our stay.

Sat Nav kept taking us to the wrong destination. It might be an idea to direct future guests that accommodation is right next door to the Fishergate school.

Location. Just a few minutes walk to the city walls and beyond.

The heating controls were a little confusing.

Location was fabulous for walking into York!

The air conditioning was very hard to regulate! Mostly too hot even when resetting the temperature and waiting! We slept with the windows open to bring the temperature down! Didn’t realise it was a basement apartment with no views!
