8 Blue Bridge- Elegant and Luxurious 1 Bedroom Apt- Free Parking

Unfortunately the owner of the property had made a mistake when sending out the property details so when we arrived the property was already occupied, we contacted the out of hour number and they were able to source another apartment around a mile away. At the time the owner couldn't have been more apologetic and would offer some recompense for the inconvenience and the £46 we now had to pay for parking. The new apartment was fine and still in a good location for York so although a huge inconvenience we didn't want to let this ruin our weekend away. When I tried to text the company on the Monday morning no one replied I've then followed up with an email to provide the invoice for the costs of the parking and all I can say is that I received 2 very brief emails with absolutely no pleasantries, I found their attitude massively disappointing. We would have rebooked to visit again but certainly will not now. At the time of writing I have had a refund for the parking but now have to go via Booking.com to get the refund as promised.

Very elegant and the lay out was good and very comfortable with everything you need at hand. We even had an outside area.

It was a basement apartment and we thought it was a first floor apartment.

The location was excellent. Easy walking distance of the city centre. Parking available. The bed was very comfortable and the apartment was clean and warm. The customer service was very good as we had some problems and the company responded very quickly to resolve what they could quickly. Thanks especially to Jo..

There were issues with light bulbs missing, broken extractor fan and part of the shower which had been left over successive rentals.

This is a basement apartment not a ground floor apartment as described. On entry there is a very steep staircase down to the apartment. It has no natural light in the hall, bedroom or bathroom. The window in the bedroom faces a brick wall. The lounge and kitchen area is better due to the front door outside but still quite dark. Lots of noise from apartment above. Freezer compartment door dropped off on arrival. Shower good but coming off the wall. Outside seating area tired and flattered by the photos. Needs some general tlc.
