Almanna, Central York, only 6 minutes walk to York Minster

Location is fab, right in the heart of old town. Baths are large but need some handles, Mobility challenged folks cannot get in and out of deep tubs. Was great to have a washer to clean some clothes. It seemed also to have a bit of a drying function in there as well, is some European models too. Clothes were not dripping wet when they came out.

Lift was out and appeared to have been so for some time, and the apt is up two long flights of stairs. If you can't do stairs, do not book here!

Convenient location close to city center and only about a 10 minute walk to Minster. Clean apartment with comfortable beds, good internet and a well-equipped kitchen. As seniors we appreciated friendly residents in the building helping us to get into the building upon arrival and for carrying our bags up to this third floor apartment given the elevator was not working, and for Chris from Be My Guest York assisting us with apartment issues, carrying our bags down, still without elevator service when we left, and for arranging a taxi. Chris, thank you again.

The immediate neighbourhood and alleyways were only so so. The elevator in the building did not work during our 6 days stay. Noisy pigeons nest on top of the ceilings of the apartment. The drain stopper in the bathroom tub did not work, so tub would not hold water. The hallways in the building were not clean. Given the issues with this apartment it would have been reasonable for the owner of the apartment to offer a reduction in rent, but he/she did not do so.

A very central place, surrounded by bars and restaurants. A gorgeous , clean, duplex apartment, with everything you would need for a very comfortable stay.

The location was very good. The apartment was clean. Overall, a very nice stay.

The lift in the building was not working during our stay.
