Rose Street - Watchmakers Apartment

As soon as we entered the flat, it felt like home. It was clean, spacious and nicely decorated, and equipped with everything we could possibly need for our stay. The hosts were amazing and the customer service was top tier, as they were extremely helpful and quickly sorted out some minor issues we ran into. The location is superb, as the apartment is conveniently located on Rose Street - numerous shops, pubs and restaurants are within a short walk and so is Princess Street. We were given some house rules and clear instructions about our check in and check out in advance of our arrival, as well as some recommendations about things to do, see, and eat in the city. We loved it, and would definitely recommend it to anyone wishing to visit Edinburgh!

The only -slightly- negative of this property is its amazing location in the sense that it is so lively that it can get quite noisy at night. As Rose Street is home to many pubs, bars and restaurants, it can get quite noisy at busy times and especially during Friday & Saturday nights in our experience. We personally didn’t really mind, but if someone’s looking for a quiet stay in Edinburgh, maybe Rose Street isn’t for you.

A great location right in the middle of the city Close to Waverley train station, bus and tram stops from the airport. It is so convenient to visit anywhere you need to be. The apartment is spacious, neat and tidy.

Don't really know how to make the heating and the heated towel rail work, but then the weather isn't terribly cold as it is 'summer', so just make do with the fan heater provided for the chilly morningsn

The location was very handy for shopping, eating, and tourist attractions. The 2 bedrooms worked perfectly for my friend and me. The kitchen was adequate for our needs, and the lounge was comfortable.

The kitchen sink needed a drain plug, and the stairwell needed a working light. The cleaners need to reach further under the beds to clean the floors.

Brilliant location to be close to all the sights of Edinburgh and convenient for meals & groceries. Some great modernizing facilities added to this wonderful old place (built in 1792).

The area can be busy to late some nights, but settles down quickly after 10pm.

Location of the property was great. Can not say there was much else we liked about the property itself especially with it not been to our clean standards. There were clean towels.

The spiral staircase leading u to the property was not great for my 71 year old father with a poorly leg after an operation last year, not something that was mentioned on the booking information. The property wasn’t as clean as we would have expected, very mismatch interior. Left over opened food from previous guests and some chipped kitchen wear that should really be disposed off. Mop and bucket kept in the wardrobe along with other items, not ideal or clean. We had a weeks stay and there was no great welcome to the property no special touches and we stayed for my fathers birthday and also Christmas. I’d have uploaded more photos but the site only allows me to add a small amount.

Awesome location, right in the centre of town. Lovely and clean, nice bathroom and kitchen

One room was so small, definitely not for two people, the bed could not fit 2 pillows across. Very noisy (due to the location). Maybe a pull out sofa bed in the lounge would help so that you could more easily sleep 4 people.
