Blossoms Reach - 2 minutes from station and city centre

Great location. Parked at train station. 10min walk to centre. Great kitchen facilities for us to cook breakfast. Comfy bed. Enjoyed our stay, blossoms reach was exactly as it is in the pictures. Thankyou for the earlier check in :)

Bathroom door was stiff and didn't close properly, no handle from inside either. Was a little noisy from road

Everything was great, location, facilities, close to train,except accessing the key from the locked box, when we arrived, was a bit tricky. We got the combo right, the box wouldn't pop open. I needed to use a coin to pop it open.

The whole apartment needed painting and cleaning of all of the interior and exterior buildings.

Fantastic location for a stay in York. Just outside of the walled part of the city so very easy access to the usual sites plus just enough away from the centre to have a few options for pubs, restaurants, grocery stores, etc that were a bit cheaper and less crowded that those in the more tourist-dense centre. All amenities were fine. Bedroom a bit strange in that a (locked) door in the bedroom leads to an entry hall used by the upstairs neighbours. You'll hear them coming and going a bit while you're lying right on the other side of the door in bed! But not an issue at all and fine once you get used to it.

The location and price was good and it was easy to access the train station.

The property was quite dirty with peeling paint and a non-working bathroom door plus there were lots of spiders and bugs upon entry, which I luckily managed to ignore for the first night. Unfortunately, I noticed a few ants in the bathroom that were active for my first two nights and became a full blown INFESTATION on the final day, to the point that when I came back in the evening after dinner to sleep the carpet was wriggling with so many ants it looked like it was moving: they were crawling all over the bed and furniture. I had to find somewhere else to sleep on incredibly late notice as the property managers were very unfriendly and (despite running a business with multiple locations in the city) offered me no alternative or suggestions to help. It was late in the evening when I called so I was not expecting much to be able to be done to the room itself but the fact they refused to speak to me about a partial refund or even apologise for the state of the room was shocking. There is no way they could have been unaware of the problem considering the dead ants, bug feces and what looked like ant eggs in the multiple holes near the shower in the bathroom unless they hadn't cleaned the place at all in the past few weeks. Incredibly disappointing and really ruined my trip, making my last night very stressful.

The shower was good and the bed was comfortable

The front windows were dirty, and it was very noisy due to the traffic outside (we assume single glazing or gaps in the window frame). Dry damp on the walls in the front room and bedroom. You could see where they had painted over the mould in the bathroom. The dryer didn't work on the washerdryer. The bathroom door didn't shut and was stuck half open, allowing light to travel into the bedroom and keep us awake. The firedoor were not very secure while it also let in a lot of noise or would shudder when the neighbour opened or closed an exterior door. Also, the bedroom door handle was poorly installed and loose. This apartment was not as advertised. It was a lot smaller and more cramped than shown in the listing. Lastly, there were only three drawers and bo closets/cupboards for storage.

It's 5 min walk from train station, around 10 to 15 min walk to city centre. Supermarket and restaurants / cafes are within 1 min of walking distance. It is very convenient. The property is at G/F, which is good for people with heavy luggage. The property is well maintained, i am impressed that the toaster is like new. The host has prepared a manual with intro on tourist attractions, also the operation manuals of electrical appliances are enclosed. The host replies fast and responds quickly to my request.
