City Centre Apartment - Fantastic Location

The location was very good

Firstly it was very difficult to get into the complex and the building then we discovered that the apartment hadn’t been cleaned! We call to complain they sent some one to clean it but we had to wait another 2 hours before we could back in and was promised a refund which after I chased it up I got told that they had said no such thing. Also we discovered whilst we were staying there that they are not actually allowed to let this apartment out as a holiday let for airbnb or booking.com it’s only meant for residential use only so insurance wouldn’t cover anyone whilst staying there! The key fob didn’t work to let you in and out of the complex

Clean, good location, parking place, safe, fair price.

Quite a lot of small but annoying problems : flat battery in key fob for gate, dishwasher didn’t work (but was fixed), stored suitcase in an open cupboard that then locked and was unopenable until the caretaker arrived, and very unreliable hot water (even with ‘boost’).

Fabulous location. Check in instructions good and simple. First impression were great it was only over the weekend a few issues arose. Clean and tidy. It just needs a little TLC to make it excellent

In the en-suite there were lots of bugs but after a few hours we managed to clear them. The toilet brush head came off. The cutlery handle are loose and come off and lacking in teaspoons. Also a major issue is that if the lounge door is shut it could not be opened from the inside as the handle is broken. It was lucky that someone was in the bedroom to open it from the hallway side.

The location was what saved this property for us with easy access to the ICC and the lovely canals and bars. walking to the library and city was also easy and pleasant. Overall once were in the apartment we were comfortable, but the building itself was large and smelly.

We were confused by the information about key collection. Information was sent the day before about accessing a car park several 100 metres away from the advertised address. When we questioned it we were told that the information would become available the next day. when it did is was longwinded and not very well ordered. When we arrived it was difficult to access entry to the car park and when leaving we were unable to exit the car park without contacting the concierge... which will have disappointed the hosts as they had asked us not to contact concierge... Unfortunately we had to do this as it was in order to get out and we were blocking the entry. The kitchen facilities were old and basic. the pots were scratched and several items were broken or not working. the washing machine was surrounded by cleaning products, mops etc, that we had to put in the hall way to gain access and the ironing board was so bare that it was hard to iron without leaving marks on the clothes( we had come for a work event)

The apartment was very well presented and comfortable. It is the perfect size for 4 adults for a short stay

Nothing bad to say. If I had to say something I would say it would be useful if there were a coat rack for our coats.
