City Pad @ Ryedale House

Great location, 10 min walk into York centre, secure parking was great too. Clean and comfortable apartment, which suited the two adults and teenage son.

Problem with wet carpet in bedroom on arrrival, resulting in bad smell throughout the apartment, which was unpleasant. On contacting the letting agent, this was rectified when we returned at the end of our day, so they were responsive. Apartment could benefit from better sound proofing as late at night lots of noise from the road with people leaving town centre. Lacked storage for clothing and towel rail/ hook in cloakroom for a towel.

CityPad is in a good position being close to some of the many sights of York. Bonus points for having a car park space included. The apartment was a good size for the 3 of us. Apart from breakfast and hot drinks we didn't use the kitchen but all looked ok. The apartment is warm and felt very safe to be there. There is some road noise but it quietens down at night.

The main bed was comfy although a bit creaky when you move around. The bed settee was just as expected, great for children but I'm not sure an adult would be comfortable on it.

Great location, all attractions are within walking distance: city walls, Clifford's Tower, Yorvik, York Dungeon, York Minster, Shambles, cafés, bars and restraunts, and shops. Tesco express and Sainsbury's local within a 2 minute walk. Secure parking included in the price. Comfortable, modern appartment.

Not much storage for clothing, wardrobe and draws were quite small. Huge lamps on side tables take up surface space in bedroom and living room, leaving very little room for placining a book or phone on them. No towel rail in wc or bathroom. A large saucepan or saute pan would have been really useful as the ones provided were not really big enough. Mugs were not very clean on arrival so had to wash them before using.

Really nice apartment and close to the centre. Would highly recommend.

The beautiful apartment was in an ideal location and the private parking was fab. The apartment had everything we needed and we would definitely stay here next time we are in york. Fab stay

couldn’t hang up anything longer than a top in the wardrobe but that’s only a small thing & didn’t have any bearing on how lovely our stay was.
