Bootham in Style

Excellent location - close to train and close to city. We stayed for 5 nights and did not need a car. Walked everywhere. The accommodation was clean and fresh.

The location was great and the apartment was lovely, very easy and comfy to stay for 11 nights. Bonus for me was having the desk and screen as I had to do some work while there. Thank you!

Steps as I had a large case but not much you could do about that. Managed ok, just took it slowly. Other than that I would suggest providing at least another bin bag and more toilet paper for a longer stay.

Overall clean just right for two people for a short break . Located in a nice area of York .

The sofa advertised in the pictures is not the actual sofa that is at the property. There is only a small two seater sofa. Also the apartment is a basement apartment which is not advertised on this website. The railway line is on the opposite side of the road and you can feel the vibrations through the floor when a train departs or arrives at York Station. The bottom lock on the door will not turn when trying to lock from the inside . Stays of York , who actually manage the apartment did respond to my complaint as I have some accessibility issues. Booking.com did not bother responding . if I had been aware, it was a basement apartment with old stone steps, I never would have booked it.

The property was ideal for our visit to York, and parking was convenient.

Apartment was clean and tidy, all furnishings were in great condition and the place had a lovely style. All kitchen appliances were in good order and the shower and bathroom were excellent. The location is superb, only a five minute walk to the city centre. Driving to the apartment was extremely straight forward and parking was no problem at all.

It took me a few tries to open the front door, the key did not want to turn in the bottom lock. Only a minor thing that did not affect our stay in any way.

The property was lovely and clean very detailed about arrival and departure all facilities kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and bedding was all clean and comfortable

There was a stain in the centre of the living room where obviously someone had spilled something and the cleaner had cleaned it best but it didn’t bother us tho
