Nice, clean. Well maintained. A nice welcome pack of bread, milk, butter, jam and Cereal- much appreciated. Good heating.

No curtains on lounge and dining room windows. Only screens supplied that did not fit the entire length of windows. Also front door was glass. We felt we didn't have enough privacy. The owner was over friendly. On arrival, he knocked at our front door and just walked straight in - didn't wait for us to get up and open the front door. We asked about working the oven, and he then walked over to the kitchen, touched the food with his hand - I was gobsmacked - how inappropriate. There was no outside light by the front door, and general lighting outside not that great. We did ask if there was an outdoor light anywhere, to which he replied he would go into our accommodation and put it on for us. I insisted that he not do this, but on our return that evening,a light had been switched on that shone onto the patio area. This means that he had entered our accommodation when asked not to. Again, a totally inappropriate attitude and behaviour to paying guests to not respect their privacy. Just because you own a property, it does not give you the right to just walk in without consent!!!

The lodge was spotlessly clean and provided everything you could want. It was lovely and quiet with plenty of wildlife to watch. The owner Shaun was very helpful and friendly. Would stay there again in an instant the next time we visit relatives in the area.

The shower floor got quite slippery and could do with a non slip mat as we were a bit worried about possibly slipping over.

Everything. Sean met us and showed us around. He was very attentive, helpful and always on site if you needed him. The perfect host.

The only thing that could have made it better was an extra screen in front of the patio doors as felt a little exposed. It didn’t bother us as you were not overlooked.

The location was perfect for us, we were met by the host who kindly showed us around the accommodation and gave lots of suggestions for things to do. The accommodation was very comfortable and incredibly clean. Quality fixtures and fittings, bedding, and towels. A very generous welcome basket with a few Bramley Apples from the hosts garden thrown in.

We couldn't fault anything and would love to return.

I received a warm welcome. The property was lovely and quiet, a super place to relax, and offered everything I needed.

Absolutely nothing. I cannot find a single thing to criticise. I cannot wait to return when I next get some time.

Ideal site which was immaculate, lodge was spotless with everything you would need. The host was amazing and nothing was too much trouble. We loved our stay! Will definitely return.

The architectural design has been carefully thought about to make it a relaxing and easy style of living.

Heavy rainfall! Not much one can do about that! Even with the challenges of the whole of Hurstpierpoint’s mains water being cut off for 4 hours, the supply of bottled water was provided immediately. The owner visited us 3 times to keep us informed. You couldn’t ask for more concern and support.

Very clean and well kept chalet and surrounding grounds. All the utensils and kitchen facilities were in good condition and made cooking easy. Shaun was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble.

The bed was super comfortable with good quality linen but the pillows were just a little hard.
