There were no hanging rails in the wardrobe of bedroom 1. Everything else was perfect.

The location of the Lodge suite where we stayed was good

On arrival the hot tub which we had booked for our stay was unuseable due to the excessively high water temperature. We tried to get this resolved by the hosts, but having wasted our first evening with telephone calls and emails, the best we got was that there had been a hot spell leading up to our break (we've never had this problem with hot tubs in the Florida or the canary islands!). The en-suite is so small it is a joke. The shower in the en-suite floods the tiled floor, making it extremely slippery and dangerous. The toilet in the bathroom once flushed would continue to flush and refill for ages. The overall cleanliness was very poor with large clumps of cobwebs hanging in many areas. There was also a thick layer of dust throughout the property, and the oven door had many dirty greasy run marks. The garden area was scruffy in appearance with poor quality table and benches. There was no shade or comfortable seating provided to relax in the garden if required. The door of the wardrobe in the second bedroom was damaged, and had to be wedged closed with cardboard for safety. The door into the garden area sticks badly and has pulled quite a large section of the frame away from the wall. We have tried complaining to the hosts by following their procedures, but have had virtually nothing back. Unless there are extremely dramatic improvement in this property. I would not be able to recommend it at all.

Return booking as we like the location and the general quietness of the property

It’s looking a little worn around the edges as a building and the apartment was very hot without the ability to ventilate efficiently as one of the bedroom windows does not open. The key was very tight in the lock which was an annoyance and needs looking at. The hallway needs attention and better cleaning.

We loved the fab location We loved the facilities and we loved the special touches like lovely fluffy towels and everything that you need to make a cuppa.

If we could suggest one change it would be the light coloured carpets Maybe change to a dark green.

This was the perfect base for our trip to Yorkshire. The apartment was clean, well presented and spacious.

Outside area very disappointing. Need to cut the grass and control weeds. BBQs at entrance are a hazard. Very rusty and need disposing of. Bedroom 1 broken wardrobe. Completely unusable as it falls to bits when opened. Bedroom 2. Broken glass on one of the bedside units Various paint chips throughout just need touching up Such a shame. A few bits of attention would make it lovely
