Abbey Garden at the Highland Club

Great location on Loch Ness in a magnificent historic building.

I understand the safety reason but felt the heavy fire doors to most rooms spoiled the flow through the apartment.

The man who handed the keys was lovely, except for the part where he shared his concerns and we had to find out at check-in (when at booking nothing was mentioned) that unfortunately none of the facilities were wheelchair accessible.

The access to the property, the path stopped halfway through the grass and didn’t go all the way to our apartment, so the wheelchair couldn’t be pushed and we had to carry the wheelchair user in and out constantly, also there also was one disabled bay but no marking around it so to get her in and out her car seat we couldn’t open the door wide enough. People kept parking so close it made it impossible for us to get her in and we had to constantly track the owners. Then step to get into the pool? Really? Outside of the door that leads to a room that is extremely slippery (our son fell and smacked his head on the tiles while we were trying to get our daughter up there!) then four more steps and a ladder?? Wow. Then the playground had nothing for any disabled child to be included, even the swings were missing. It’s just not good enough… Also yes the ground floor flat was kind of accessible, but then putting a step right as you get in through the garden and no ramp is just silly.

We can definitely say it is one of our top vacation that we had. Without getting in details about the gorgeous surroundings and views, the rental location is divine. All what you except and more.The place itself is an amazing piece of history with lovely gardens and amenities.If you take a stroll through the gardens you can actually see Lock Ness. For anyone wondering, I don't have enough words to describe how amazing it is, 10 it's to low for a place like this. As a side note, the man that gave us the key and showed us the place was really thoughtful and welcoming.

The showers were hot for a minute, then cold, then warm. That's about all I can think of

The apartment, location and facilities.

The sports equipment provided (tennis rackets were old and the grips were poor and there were not shuttlecocks provided with the badminton rackets). The snooker table and cues were poorly maintained.
