Sandy Retreat

Nice and warm (in January). TVs in each room. Great parking spot. Comfortable beds. Vintage decor.

No trash can in the toilet room. Fireplace is gas powered instead of real wood. No access to the backyard. TVs could not be swiveled for better viewing from the bed.

The bungalow had a good sized drive for parking. Instructions for entry were easy. The place was very clean. Basic facilities were helpful. Bedrooms were a good size. Easy to find.

The lack of a comfortable place to relax in was surprising. Maybe if a comfy chair was put in the bedrooms it would help? On the first day, only 1/3 of us managed to get a shower, as it stopped working. The 3 of us would have liked a shower each day. Unfortunate. The beds were a little uncomfortable for all 3 of us.

It was from home to home. Reminded me to my godmother and I felt really touched. I hope they don’t want to modernise, because those furnitures and decorations really special. The contactless check in & out gave me the peace of mind doing everything in my own rhythm, without pressure. I appreciate the grab rails in the shower too.

I liked everything, only as a short person who doesn’t like if the water going on her head and have to wash properly down there, a bit longer shower hose would be practical.

Sandy Retreat was exceptionally clean It is quirky, and I loved this. The beds were very comfortable, we all had a good nights sleep. Parking right outside the front door is a bonus. The little touches - milk left in the fridge, bottled water, tea bags, and more - are a lovely touch. I highly recommend this place to stay 😀
