Driftwood Lodge

The lodge was simply amazing. It had everything you needed and more. The best lodge we had stayed in.

There was nothing not to like.

Loved the place! It was comfy, and quiet, and very well equipped.

We had a wonderful time in Driftwood lodge. It is in a wonderful location near a great beach. Great facilities, beds, shower, clean towels, fragrant body wash and wonderfully generous welcome gifts including an amazingly tasty red wine, Thankyou very much. The extras of deck chairs, bbq, dishwasher, washing machine and dog toys and so much more were all very much appreciated. The parking next to Lodge was great and the people in neighbouring lodges were friendly and the whole place was quiet, well run, grass cut and gardens looked great. Dog excercise area nearby. There are lovely local walks, great hotel at Soar Mill Cove for great food, drinks and amazing views. It was good to be able to explore so many beaches nearby, in and around Salcombe, South Sands, North Sands, and further afield like Hope Cove, Bolt Head, Sharp Tor and Burgh Island, some places were great places to swim and paddle board and explore. We even had a seal swim round us at Soar Mill cove, amazing experience. Thoroughly recommend this lovely Driftwood Lodge and the local area. Hayley and her team thoroughly looked after us. We had a very good holiday in Salcombe. The lodge was exceptional. Very clean, looked after, and well equipped for everything you need from a lodge and more. Such a lovely touch to have a little welcome basket with tea, coffee, milk, wine, biscuits and sweets. There were even dog treats! Aswell as bowls and towels for your furry companions. Hayley was always on hand if you needed anything and always responded very quickly. We only had an issue with Netflix as it was a very damp day, and Hayley straight away rectified this for us. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower lovely and powerful. There's also a bbq, rotary line, sun loungers, wind break, garden games, walking sticks, etc, to use in the shed. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend.

Not much, really. Maybe a local pub in more walking distance as the area is quite remote. However the soar mill cove retreat hotel is only a 10 minute walk which serves food and drinks to non hotel guests and has beautiful sea views.

Very comfortable accommodation with lots of living space and everything there that you require. Lovely welcome basket (although we dont drink so didnt take advantage of the wine). Great quiet location and great area for the dog to exercise.

Driftwood Lodge was everything we had hoped for and more. Accommodation was lovely, clean and homely, and a great location for us - 15mins from the beach with plenty of great nearby places to eat & drink.
