A fourteen

Everything was absolutely perfect. Probably one of the best places I ever stayed. Nothing was missing, the place was stunning. When we arrived we found fresh eggs, milk, home made jam and soda bread for us to use. The owner also let us use her garden for the kids to play badminton. There is no equipment missing in the kitchen, everything you need (and more!) is there. the fireplace is fantastic and the beds very comfortables. The owner left us many advice on what to visit, where to go to eat etc...

A beautiful, clean, comfortable and cosy unit. Sue is very friendly, and her personal touches add to a great stay. All the extras also made our stay very special.

The property is beautiful with a gorgeous garden (and chickens!!) with views of the Mourne Mountains. It’s an explosion of nature. The neighbouring fields had cows and a pig, which was a novelty for our dog. My 12 year old daughter had a ball cartwheeling across the lawn and identifying the veg growing in the garden. We arrived to bowls of apples and eggs grown on the property and homemade jam which was an unexpected treat. It’s really cosy and comfortable and has everything you might want for a short or long stay. The bedrooms are spacious and the whole place was spotless and well equipped. There was also lots of information about the area and how to use the facilities which was really helpful and bikes were available too. Although we didn’t meet the owner’s face to face they checked in on us, were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. It’s about 3 miles from Kilkeel and maybe 20-30 minutes drive from Newcastle.

Great location, family friendly kids loved it. Eggs and wheaten bread were a lovely touch.

The mattress was hard

Outside garden was lovely, hens, cat, garden etc. Beds were very comfy and kitchen well stocked, fresh eggs for breakfast, homemade bread and buns were a very welcoming touch and we would stay again.

Space was a little tight with 5 of us, living and kitchen area a little small for 5 I think but overall not much complain about except the weather on our visit:)

The accommodation was perfect. Sue was very welcoming and made us feel very much at home. The freshly made loaf of brown bread and homemade jam was a lovely touch. The location of the property was ideal for touring the area. We really enjoyed our stay at A Fourteen

The overall ambience of the property was stunning and a peaceful atmosphere can be felt here. Excellent.

It was perfectly situated to explore the North coast, and is very well equipped for a family that preferred to cook rather than eat out. We had use of the vegetable garden to dig out our own spuds or whatever veg was in season, not to mention the free range eggs Sue and Graham were excellent hosts
