Gatwick hideout

Great location for Gatwick airport. Very quiet.

We had a few issues with cleanliness however the owner did rectify these quickly and think it may have just been a one off

Everything... Location & comfort suits us perfectly. 3rd stay now. Only 3 minutes drive from the Purple Parking car park. The Half Moon pub is only a short stroll away and serves a pleasant meal. The Greyhound pub almost directly opposite is another pub option.

We really enjoyed this cosy self-contained apartment which was clean, beautifully styled, and well equipped with all the amenities we needed and more (washing machine, cooking appliances, smart TV, crockery, cutlery, heaters, extra blankets etc). The hosts were in contact via text message durig the day of arrival to ensure we got in ok and had provided some convenient provisions including fruit, milk and tea bags so we could settle in immediately, which was appreciated as we got in after dark. The location was exactly what we needed for an early morning car hire drop off at Gatwick airport before our flights - being mere minutes from multiple petrol stations for our last fill up and then the airport.

Not much negative to say - we didn't notice the helpful welcome note on the kitchen table that advised there were actually shutters for the front window so we used a blanket to cover it like a curtain. If we'd arrived during daylight hours we probably would have seen the external shutters and/or the welcome note - but in case anyone is as unobservant as us, you don't need to use a blanket to cover the front window :)

Very generous with things like coffee and cereals etc.. Most places just a few satchets and biscuit.

Not a case of not liking but my friend kipped on the settee as only the one bed

The property was quite easy to find, the owner was very helpful and clear with instructions. Very clean and peaceful, quite handy if you’re going to the airport.

Wonderful night stay here. So nice to be on our own. Short walk 2mins to get to a little pub serving Italian food which was really nice (go for the fresh pasta,delicious!!) Pizza was really nice too. Communication was really good and the host was fantastic. We would 100% stay here again. Also there is a bus stop outside the greyhound pub which was really handy to get to the airport. We were about to order an Uber for £24 and the bus pulled up £4 for the two of us. There in 10 mins.
