Lovely little cottage , with a nice outdoor space

It was all very nice

We stayed at the courtyard for two nights and it is in a perfect location, walking distance to everything and was decorated beautifully !

Unfortunately when we came to use the hot tub after a cold wet walk it had no power and was freezing cold. We messaged the host who replied asking us to check the fuse board that nothing had tripped, which it hadn't. We hoped they would send a engineer to fix it asap but no one came during our midweek stay. We found this to be disappointing as the main reason we booked this place and paid significantly more than other properties in the area was for the hot tub. The host offered a 20% refund which we received after 3 weeks.

Absolutely incredible location - everything you could want right on the door step. The apartment is beautiful and perfect for a couple and a dog. We loved the hot tub and found it had everything we needed. It’s so helpful having the parking permit to use for free and the hosts were on hand to answer any queries. I’ve already recommended here to family and friends and would definitely stay again.

Stayed for my birthday weekend. Perfect in every way! We loved our stay at The Courtyard. Furnished beautifully! Location right in the heart of Bowness. Outside area great for our little dog. As others have said the hot tub is an added bonus. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Simon

Excellent location would highly recommend

Location was excellent, right in the centre of town. Apartment was spacious and well equipped. Bathroom was lovely. Owner was very communicative, we hoped to get in a bit earlier the day we arrived, the owner was happy for us to do that as noone had been in the night before. The early check in was very helpful. Providing a parking permit was great, although it would be useful to state exactly which car parks it could be used in as it's not clear which are SLDC. We didn't use the hot tub but it was on for us if we wanted to use it. Having the outside area is really useful for the dog and am sure it would be nice in the summer.

It would have been useful to know the apartment is on 2 levels with the main area in the basement of the house. This isn't mentioned anywhere, it was a bit tricky for our dog as he's a bit old now. Also the beauty salon is right above the bedroom, the lady starts early and it's floorboards, so a sleep in is out of the question!
