The Court Yard

Perfect location and the courtyard was a lovely property. Jets didn’t function on hot tub though.

Lovely property and great location

Really convenient, great location, the property had everything needed for a week away.

It was very hot - we struggled to turn the heating down however I’d much rather be too hot then it be cold!

We stayed at the apartment from Thursday - Saturday. Check in was easy with a digital lock to enter the property. There are double yellow lines outside the apartment but it was easy enough to find space to pull over the empty the car and collect the parking pass before then parking at the car park on Rayrigg Road as suggested by the host and walking back to the apartment which was again only a couple of minutes walk away. Upon arrival the apartment was so much more than we hoped for. The location was great and very central, there is a Tesco a couple of minutes walk away. The pictures do not do the apartment justice at all, the kitchen is upstairs and was clean and had everything needed for the stay. Downstairs was the bedroom, bathroom and living room which then has a door leading to the courtyard where the hot tub is. There was plenty of towels and linen provided for our stay. The decor throughout was to a high standard. We went on one of the walks suggested by the host to Orrest Head where the starting point was around a 30 minute walk from the premises and in the evening we visited the local tapas restaurant for dinner which was great and would highly recommend. This was our first trip to Bowness on Windermere however it will not be our last and we would definitely stay here again.

The location of this property was ideal. We were within walking distance of the water, promenade, walks, tourist attractions and bars and restaurants. The property was warm, clean, and the hot tub was a great inclusion.

If you are a light sleeper or like a lie-in then be aware that the salon above the property is very noisy and you can hear everything through the floor/ceiling ie. footsteps and talking. On the Monday, someone was setting up and stomping at 7.30am.

What a gem of a place we have found, absolutely made up to have found this place, always a bit dubious when reviews are so good, but they are warranted here. Couldn't fault anything. The kitchen is clean and everything you need if you want to do some cooking, which we did. The living room is very comfortable as is the bedroom, the bed was especially comfy, had 3 nights of great sleep. The bathroom is fabulous too, I think I'm right when I say there was underfloor heating in there, the shower is powerful enough and very roomy. The Hot Tub, was the icing on the cake, absolutely wonderful. If you're thinking of booking, do it, you won't be disappointed. You also get a parking permit, which is a massive help. Thanks Simon, we'll be back!

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the Court Yard. The apartment is beautifully decorated and was immaculate when we arrived. Great location for exploring the village, plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs within walking distance. Simon checked in occasionally to make sure everything was alright. We would definitely stay again - a hidden gem!!

The only negatives we had with the apartment were that the bathroom door didn't properly close and that the hot tub seemed to be a bit grimy around the water's edge so we ended up not using. Not a major issue for us as we were more interested in getting out and about to explore the village but for some it might be.

Lovely cosy wee place. Great location, close to all that Bowness on windermere has to offer.
