Host & Stay - Beach View

The location was fantastic, right on the sea front and just a short walk away from great places to eat, the town centre was a little further, but still within walking distance. Lovely sea view from the apartment ,it was very well equipped. Nice to see Yorkshire Tea in the tea caddy! Bed was very comfortable. We did like the upside down arrangement of the apartment as it made best use of the lovely view from the living space. would definitely stay here again, thank you for a lovely weekend.

The only thing we liked about the property was modern interior design and location.

We didn’t like almost everything. First thing we saw when we walked in to the property was the dirtiness of the apartment. The coffee table was full of cup stains. The sofa was dirty , full of sand. We had to vacuum it, before we could sit down on it. Spider webs were hanging from the ceiling. The windows were that dirty we could barely see the outside. Both bathrooms were dirty and smelled very unpleasant. There were hair and stains in a bathtub. There was girt on the toilet lid, which I found disgusting. The apartment felt damp and smelled like mould. Thankfully the bedsheets were clean. Carpet on the staircase was that dirty , we were afraid to walk on it barefoot. We were very disappointed. If you are planning to stay at the apartment, make sure you bring cleaning products.

Location and outlook over the sea. Only a 10 minute walk in to Whitby town centre or the harbour. Sea views from the living room.

Windowsill in the bedroom with the ensuite was very dirty. Black scuff marks on the walls throughout. Small area outside the front of the property very overgrown, neighbouring properties were very tidy.

Location was excellent overlooking the sea (although, due to know ones fault, it was misty the whole time we were there) Ha. It was a short walk from the town center too which was great and not far from the Harbour. While we were there was also a bit of a music festival one which made our stay all the better.

The only issue we had was the parking. I was under the impression that we had one free parking space but sadly this was not included through booking.com although the family staying in one of the other apartments had boked with airbnb and had parking included. It turned out expensive to park for 2 days especially as we had 2 cars. It would have been nice to have just one space!
