The bed was comfortable, and the apartment was clean. The area is very quiet.

There was a draft on my bedroom that made us have the heating on all night to keep the bedroom warm. The socket where the Internet is connected was broken, and all the wires hanging out , not safe if you have small children. The bathroom tap dripping constantly. Nespresso machine capsules were too big for the machine, clearly the wrong ones.

It’s in a stunning location which I know well. Great amenities all around. The flat is very well equipped. The linen is very clean.

It’s a bit tired. The carpet in the bedroom is looking a bit worse for wear and the bathroom is a bit mouldy and needs a revamp. The furniture in the bedroom is basic and the bedside table on one side has a broken door. I have stayed in a few apartments at Royal William’s Yard and this one needs some TLC. I don’t think it represents good value for money at the moment. The internet connection hasn’t been great.

Unclear advertising; be careful when booking as you might book a property that isn’t at royal William yard.

Unfortunately, our experience was not as expected. We encountered a strong unpleasant smell, and the shower was cold, which was quite disappointing. There was also a lot of noise, and the conditions on Christmas Day weren’t ideal – particularly given the issues with the heating. When I raised the concern, I was told I should have mentioned the hot water earlier. I feel that for a stay priced over £200, it’s reasonable to expect certain basics, such as hot water, to be in working order. While we often book stays and appreciate good value, I’m afraid I won’t be returning to this one and would advise others to carefully consider their options.

Beds were very comfortable, everything you needed was there.
