Drakes Wharf @ Royal William Yard

Excellent comfortable and clean apartment in a great location for exploring Plymouth and the surrounding countryside. I would highly recommend staying here if your visiting the area.

What an amazing place to stay. If you like staying in a bit of history then this is the place to be. Apartment was comfortable and clean and had all the facilities you require for a weekend stay. Close to all the key areas of Plymouth.

Sometimes difficult to get a parking space as it is a popular place but a small price to pay for being in such a historic location

The property was clean, well laid out, we enjoyed the free music from the bar downstairs.

Mills Bakery 6 is a very comfortable, spacious and well appointed apartment. However, it is the location at Royal William Yard that really makes it special. It has a great view onto the harbour and is very close to a range of high end eateries. Car parking was easy, albeit with a short walk required, and the location is a short drive (5-10 minutes) into the City Centre, the Hoe or the Barbican. We would definitely stay here again.

Kitchen facilities were good and we appreciated the milk provided in fridge. Beds were comfortable and we appreciated the utility space. Our practical needs in terms of facilities were certainly met.

Our apartment was a bit run down. I think the pictures looked nicer than the real thing. There was dirt and grime in the bathroom and we found a vape between the sofa cushions. Little touches such as having a full wardrobe for us rather than a hoover taking up lots of the available space would be handy. We found parking was very far away from the apartment and the check in process was confusing and lengthy, partly due to distance from car and instructions at points could have been more clear. There was a meet and greet mentioned but we were given a WhatsApp message instead. There is also a lot of Admin involved as you have to contact a number to get further information. There was also exceptionally loud music coming from downstairs (presumably from a restaurant/bar) late in the evening. I would have liked to have been prepared that might happen, but as there were rules about noise disturbances for us in the apartment, it felt a little irritating. I’m sure had we complained about some of the above it would have been resolved as communication was frequent from Plum Locations but with limited time we personally decided not to. For the money we paid, I would have expected a higher standard of cleanliness, more convenient check in and parking.
