Edinburgh TWO BEDROOM apartment with free side street parking 24 hours

It is in ideal position to visit Edinburgh with good transport links, and also to enjoy the wonderful sandy beach 10minutes walk away.

Very busy main road, but quiets down significantly by 10pm

Lovely flat. Nice decor. Clean and tidy. Good location. We have recommended it to a friend.

No extractor in loo or shower. I imagine this is because hard to retrofit. It didn’t really impact us at all and flat didn’t seem damp.

Our stay in Edinburgh was absolutely lovely and cozy. The apartment is situated in a fantastic area, just a five-minute walk from Portobello Beach—a perfect spot for a peaceful stroll away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The apartment itself is clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed, with every essential provided from a well-equipped kitchen to cozy bedding. The living area was spacious with comfortable seating and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Heating was efficient, keeping the space warm and cozy even on colder days. What made our experience even more special were the wonderful hosts. They were friendly and attentive to every detail, making sure we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Everything was perfect, and we have no complaints at all. The stay met all our expectations, and we truly enjoyed it.

Our stay was wonderful. Our host, Anne, was kind and always willing to help, even when we asked her to raise the heating one evening! The place is in a great location, near a bus stop, a supermarket, and the sea, which was our main highlight. We loved staying close (a short bus ride) to the city centre but away from it; we visited during the holiday season, and everywhere in the city centre was crowded. The apartment is beautifully decorated and well-equipped. Anne thought of everything: besides the essentials, there were games, maps, some welcome chocolates, and a lovely small Christmas tree to cheer us up during our visit. We will certainly stay in Anne's place again on our next trip to Edinburgh.

Interior and the mattress

Bath towel.. didn't look good,so we bought new ones from outside ( we didn't ask for replacement from the team, as it was late). It will be better if they change the towels.. other than this minor issue I didn't find any negatives

The location was excellent, right in the heart of Portobello, close to great eating places, pubs, shops and the beach/promenade. Parking was very easy, a real bonus. The apartment was lovely - very characterful and comfortable and clean as a new pin. We loved being able to look down onto the high street, and it wasn't noisy at all at night-time.

The double bed in the main bedroom was only queen size, which wasn't wide enough for us. I had to sleep in the second bedroom, which wasn't an ideal solution, as my husband has mobility issues and I wasn't able to keep a close eye on him. The heating didn't come on the morning that we were due to leave. Given that our stayover was at the beginning of December, this was very unfortunate, as the apartment was very cold first thing.
