Edinburgh TWO BEDROOM apartment with free side street parking 24 hours

The best thing about the apartment is its location. The nearby bus stop (use the 26 bus which is frequent) gets you into Edinburgh in about 20-25 minutes and costs £2 pp per single trip. Also, it's just a 5 minute walk to Portobello beach and promenade which is well worth a visit if the weather's on your side. There's a decent amusement arcade there too and plenty of eating/drinking options. We struck lucky and were able to park freely about a hundred yards away, though on our mooch to the beach we did see that there were quite a few free parking options close by. The apartment itself is nice enough, though for me putting in a larger double bed would be the priority improvement.

The apartment is on a busy road so noise is an issue. We also didn't like that the heating comes on (even in July, why?!) and so opening all the windows was a must, but we struggled to open them and couldn't work out how to cancel the heating. Needs sorting.

Opposite a pub which at times was noisy with an element of anti social behaviour which could be heard early evening . May not be suitable if children staying.

Perfect location very close to transportation, supermarket and the beach. No noise issues. Very, very well equipped. Welcome gift and great service from owners and manager. Recommend easily!

Portobello is a suburb of a busy city not a seaside village which somehow is what I had expected but that was my fault. Edinburgh was a disappointment too very busy and dirty . The castle was crazy busy we bought tickets in advance so make sure you do if you go because it was sold out but they let too many people in. Redcoats cafe there was lovely though. Best bit was the National Museum (free) which is a really lovely building and the Royal yacht (buy ticket in advance) really interesting.

This apartment was absolutely lovely. It had everything we needed. As we were doing Edinburgh tours it was nice to be out of the city. The walk to the beach was great as well.

Lovely cozy apartment, beautifully decorated. Had everything needed for a more than comfortable stay. Appreciated the welcome touches of tea, coffee, milk, wine, fruits, chocolates and other snacks. Spotlessly clean. Lots of reading material and some games. Comfortable beds with lovely linen and big soft towel sheets. It was nice to have so much care taken with the accommodation. We felt very welcome. The location in Portobello is great for experiencing regular Edinburgh life, with local shops for food, great pub downstairs (quiet) that serves the best burgers, fantastic independent coffee shops a few steps away, and one of the best independent bookstores I have visited (The Portobello Bookshop). The beachfront is nice to walk along, with more great food options. The bus stop is right there to get to into the busy tourist-filled city centre. Takes about 20 minutes to get from the apartment to the steps of Edinburgh Waverley Station. Buses are so easy to use, as can just tap a credit or debit card to pay bus fare. We enjoyed “commuting” home with regular Edinburgh folk after sightseeing or shopping in the city! Would love to stay again!
