"Great central location!"

8.0

Great location. Lovely clean flat. Car park opposite flat for just £13.40/24hrs.

Space for wardrobe wasn’t ideal and smelt damp, needed to leave the door ajar to try and clear the smell. The basement flat below is very messy outside, both front and back, so not the best ‘views’.

"We had a wonderful few days away, in a beautiful Regency Apartment overlooking the Sea"

9.0

The apartment is beautiful, we especially liked the Georgian furniture, and interesting prints. The bed was very comfortable, and the place was very clean. Also Hasting Old Town, is wonderful, lots of antique and book shops.

Despite following the instructions, we could not get the induction job to work.

"Lovely little apartment"

9.0

Lovely furnished apartment with everything you would need for a short stay, close to the Old Town and seafront, easy check in and out process

The immediate building and surrounding area are a little unwelcoming and run down, particularly at night. This didn't cause us problems but is best to be aware of, particularly if women are staying there alone

"Perfection by the Sea"

10.0

Our second stay here. Love everything about it. Beautiful apartment. Well equipped. The bedroom is at the back, beneath the castle walls, and is perfectly quiet and dark at night. The Georgian architecture, high ceiling and bold colour-drenching of the lounge sets this accommodation apart from your average rental. The sunshine and light pours in through the huge window by day, and smooth running blinds throughout keep the apartment cosy and private after sundown. The hallway walls are a rich caramel colour, with plenty of lighting. There is an eclectic mix of old and modern art on the walls, and it just works well. The kitchen/dining area is spacious and very well equipped, right down to washing up liquid, new scourer, kitchen roll and clean teatowel provision. Likewise, the smart bathroom provides quality wall mounted toiletries, ample toilet rolls and plenty of towels. We had plenty of hot water available. The bed and pillows made for excellent sleep, both nights. I'm a side sleeper and the feather sidesleeper box shape pillows meant I didn't move or fidget once I laid my head. Two of the best night's sleep again, as per our previous visit a year ago. I don't know what brand the mattress is, but I want one; it is so comfortable. The large public car park opposite the Artist's Retreat costs just under £12 a night. We paid at one of the carpark machines, by debit card option for a printed paper ticket, which was simple. (We set an alarm on a phone to remind us to go and put a second parking ticket on the car for the second overnight.) We wouldn't hesitate to return for a third visit. We love everything about this accommodation.

There is nothing about the accommodation we don't like. I suppose being on the ground floor, the seaviews aren't as great as higher floors, but the tradeoff is not having so many stairs to do, especially with luggage. The Crescent is up a slope and then a few steps to the ground floor.
