Kontokali Lake House

We missed a microwave, but otherwise it was great!

Studio was very clean, newly renovated with a beautiful view of water. Host and cleaner were kind and helpful. Kitchen was well equipped. Lots of nice storage and hangers for clothes. Bathroom was spacious and clean. Large Balcony had lovey view, table and chairs plus drying rack, and mosquito coils! Quiet comfortable location but vehicle recommended to enjoy the area.

Location is remote so guests really need a vehicle. Nice Beach and beach snack bar are 10 minute walk, but main road, restaurants, buses and other services were over 20 minute walk. Wifi was too weak for Netflix. Host needs to put up more signs to direct guests to location. Host needs to verify all things working before guests arrive.

Amazing view in the Double bed studio apartment. An Iron, clothes horse and cockscrew (the essentials) were available. Very quiet, a good 15 minute walk to the bus stop but if you want it quiet, stay here. Planes overhead finish around 20:00 each night. There are some nice bars and restaurants (The Old Barrel) in Kontokali (20 mins walk). Gouvia is a 40 min walk.

Without being picky, just a normal knife to butter your toast in the morning. Serrated knives only. Shower curtain sticks to your body due to a small bathroom.

In general it was all exactly as we wanted it. Great view, peace & quiet. The walk to the bus stop takes 15-20 minutes (the same goes for the closest grocery shop). So if you plan to rely on the bus connections, you should take into consideration the time schedule of the buses and plan your trips ahead. We ended up waiting for the buses a bit long too too often and the area close to the bus stop isn't nice (noisy street etc).

The pipe of the sink was leaking sometimes, there was a bowl underneath, but it was clear that the problem wasn't new. This is a minor hindrance though, as the flat was clean and the price/quality ratio was very good.

We loved the fact that it was a quiet area with amazing views over the lake and the mountains, beautiful swans on the lake and beautiful birds singing ! The hosts were welcoming and helpful changing the light on the balcony and helping us with other requests. The cleaning lady was a sweetheart, always so polite and happy. The rooms were cleaned every other day. Excellent service!

Even tho we loved the privacy that this accommodation offered us, the bathroom needs a facelift/upgrade. The WIFI was a blessing and a curse.. we were definitely living more in the present moment as the wifi wasn’t strong enough for Netflix.

We loved the peace and tranquility that the accommodation offers. The garden is beautiful.

The view from our apartment was a little restricted. In fairness, we accepted that it would be like that before our stay and we enjoyed the accommodation nevertheless. We couldn't find any means to sweep up for ourselves in the apartment. It would have been useful to have had a dustpan and broom/brush for our own use.

Excellent value for money,. Cosy and clean apartment, close to the beach. Beautiful view from the balcony. The staff is very nice and flexible.

The apartment is clean, but some ants entered from the garden.
