Penny's Old Town Houses

Couldn’t have been happier with our stay - the location was fantastic and right on the harbour (but down a side street so we didn’t get any interruptions from noise!). Plenty of shops and restaurants within two minutes walk, and Nea Chora beach is just 10 minute walk also. The space was very thoughtfully used and perfect for two people. Very clean, and the host was incredibly attentive. Would very highly recommend if you’re a couple looking to stay in Chania!

We really enjoyed our stay at Penny’s place. The apartment is truly a hidden gem, nestled in the charming, peaceful streets of the old town. It’s amazing how it manages to feel so tranquil and romantic, yet it’s only a stone’s throw from both the port and the city centre, making it the perfect base for exploring. The apartment itself was spacious enough and equipped with everything we needed and the host was very attentive and responsive. We particularly loved spending time on the small balcony overlooking the quiet street – it was such a lovely spot for a morning coffee. The rooftop terrace was another highlight, perfect for unwinding with a late-night drink after returning from dinner. While the stairs up to the rooftop do require a bit of caution, it’s absolutely worth the effort. Having the apartment thoroughly cleaned halfway through our visit was an unexpected and much-appreciated touch.

Perfect...a fantastic location. Quiet area, yet so close to bars and restaurants. Right in the heart of Chania. A small kiosk and shop nearby. Bed was extremely comfortable. Couldn't have had a more pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Amazing location, possibly the best in the city. Beautiful decor, tasteful and boutique feel. Loved the roof terrace, turned chairs to face opposite direction and lovely potted plants so as not to be overlooked. The stairs to the roof terrace are only for the sure footed and would benefit from a rail/ rope to hold on to. Highly recommend staying here.

Very attentive host but possibly too many messages. Hot shower was a bit temperamental and sometimes luke warm rather than hot.

It’s in a great location, is well fitted out and is very comfortable. Also the contact and help before and during the stay was great.

There’s nothing we didn’t like. We would have liked a clothes airer on the terrace to dry our beach stuff but we managed without. Also, just to say the steps up to the terrace are quite steep so not for anyone who isn’t sure footed.
