Too much humidity. An air dehumidifier is mandatory.

The accommodation was well equipped and very clean. I loved that they offered towel change and cleaning services mid week as well and also took rubbish out for us on two occassions. It is right in the middle of old town but very quite. The host was easily reachable and very responsive. I would definitely book again if I were to return to Chania.

Nothing - everything was spot on.

We had a lovely time in the heart of Chania. The accomodation has everything you need, the kitchen is well equipped. It is nicely decorated in a modern way. We liked the fact that is was situated on 2 floors, very clean, the bed sheets were so nice and soft, the bed was comfortable and most of all we loved the small table outside where we sat every evening and had a bottle of wine. Penny is a also a great host. We can t wait to come back. Crete, you stole our ❤️

The apartment is beautiful, perfectly located in a side alley in the center. You are minutes away from everything and at the same time you can enjoy some quiet time on the balcony. The highlight is the beautiful terrace where you can enjoy a glass of wine in the evening. We loved the place and if I'm ever back in Chania I know where I'm staying 🙂

Just a warning that the there's a lot of stairs with very low ceilings. I'm over 1.9m and I struggled a bit with it but it's totally worth it.

Beautiful apartment. Very quiet considering its location only 50m from the bustling harbour. Bed was very comfortable!

Stairs up to the apartment were rather compact, especially for taller people. But like most quirky things, you got used to them. Balcony and roof terrace were overlooked by the building opposite, although there wasn't much evidence of activity.

The location of the apartment is excellent - at the north-western end of the harbour in 2nd row, not sooo overcrowded like the streets in the middle of the harbour. The apartment itself in this very old building is 100% renovated and everything was done with excellent taste and to please the customer. The kitchen is fully equipped, the bath is in top design. The best points are the balcony (relax with a beer after sightseeing) and the rooftop terrace (which we didn't use). The host answers questions at a glance. Check-In is via keysafe. And thanks Penny for recommendation of the rooftop terrace at the best restaurant in Chania: Pallas. 100% for food, staff, view.

Even though we loved the apartment we are only giving 9/10 points. Whoever rents the apartment must be aware of a few facts: (1) carrying a 23 kg suitcase up the staircase is really really hard (nearly a spiral staircase with ceiling hight at some points below 180 cm). (2) Using the bathroom is not easy and caused neckproblems to my wife. We (cm 187 & 176) had to bend our backs real hard or did bend our knees to see our face in the mirror. (3) The rainshower-showerhead ends at 180 cm. The shower-door closes extremely tight (which is really excellent to keep the water inside) - but I had to release my wife from outside as she wasn't able to open the door from inside with wet fingers. We would come back nevertheless.
