The upstairs neighbours were loud

The bed was extremely comfortable, it felt comfortable and homely, it had everything we needed, and they went the extra mile by helping me celebrate a birthday nothing was too much for these guys. The location was great as the Christmas markets were right there on the doorstep, as well as supermarkets and the shambles it didn't even take a one minute walk to get to were we needed to be

The location is amazing and super convenient. Lady Pecketts Yard was a cool street and attracted people exploring each day. The property is a decent size for 2, is decorated nicely, and it was a nice place to stay. There was wifi and we could login to our streaming services to watch television. There was a well equipped kitchen (inc. yea and coffee) and large bathroom. The bedroom was comfortable and large, and a decent hairdryer was provided. The lighting throughout the apartment was very good and enabled different levels of light. We’ve stayed centrally before and been woken a lot by noisy revellers but had no noise issues here. We didn’t get welcome details (inc. the code to unlock) until I nudged the day before. It’s possible that would have been sent later that day anyway. For the most part messages sent via Booking.com were responded to very quickly.

We struggled to get the apartment warm enough at times and also had some challenges understanding the water heating at first. I’d recommend other visitors to pack toilet rolls (we did, and needed it as not much was provided), to pack milk for tea / coffee, and to properly read the detail on how to unlock the apartment (we didn’t and it was a faff the first time. It was easy once we did though).

The location is fantastic. Gorgeous roomy apartment. Beautifully presented, warm and cosy. Absolutely loved it. Definitely returning one day.

Both my partner and I didn't like the pillows, unfortunately. We found them to be too deep/large and firm. This is just our preference. We solved the problem by putting the setee cushions into the pillow cases instead.

The accommodation is in a great location, nearby shops and facilities to prepare your own food. The architecture and history of the building adds character and made the stay extra special, and a great experience.

The flat was very comfortable and had everything I needed, and the location was fantastic - very central and just a short walk to and from the station. The building was old and you could feel the history in it, but the flat has been beautifully done to keep character whilst giving 21st century comfort. Being directly opposite and M and S foodhall was also a win!

The constant smell from the Pizza Hut below the flat was not very pleasant, especially as I could mostly smell it in the bedroom, even first thing in the morning. I guess I should have considered that might happen. Not helped by being unable to open the window in the bedroom. The floors were a bit uneven (the problem with old buildings), and the bathroom was at the opposite end of the flat to the bedroom.The door code boxes beeped when you entered the code, so I was woken by neighbours coming and going in the early hours. However, none of these things could be changed, so there was nothing the owners could have done differently.
