7 Gibson House - Chic City Centre Apartment with Parking

Excellent location and only 5 minutes from town. Lovely and cosy and very comfortable Parking on site

No working extractor fan in bathroom so gets very condensated Bed a little uncomfortable but that's just a personal preference

The place was lovely and clean with the ideal location with everything in walking distance plus at a great price! Good cooking stuff provided, nice touch with the towels and shower supplies. The shower was great with, arguably the best water pressure.. The bed was comfy. As were the pillows. Also lots of natural light in the flat which was lovely to wake up to

Hair dryer wasn't in the stated drawer in the book, thankfully I'm nosey and found it in the bottom drawer with the broken handle. I put it in the top drawer as thats where the book said it was stored. The instructions to find the bins was missing and had to locate the bins at the end of our stay ourselves. The instructions to find the key lock box were a bit unclear after doing hours of traveling, but the only way around that would be to have it closer on the wall by the gate with the other ones.

Closeness to restaurants and bus stop. Comfortable bed.

Some concern about the seals 'lifting' on the double glazing - probably not book in the colder months.

Excellent city centre location, good facilities and on site parking is a real bonus. Only one improvement would make it better and that's a better mattress - the current one is very hard and uncomfortable.

Central stay walking into all amenities of York. Good seating and kitchen area

Obtaining keys in the dark on arrival was a bit of a faff Bed was uncomfortable so not slept well Toilet leaked though fixed promptly

The property is in an excellent location for exploring York on foot. Very clean, comfortable and well presented. A major plus was the included parking space. Would highly recommended this property.

Very well equipped. Lovely and warm and clean.

Apartment is on third floor. This is not made clear in advert and I was only advised of this when final check-in information was received. It does state stairs are only access, but third floor was a big issue for me as I have a hip problem. This should be made clear prior to booking. Key collection is a faff. There was no bay to park in whilst collecting key from key safe down the road. Also, it would be helpful if there was a light by the key safe - trying to open it in dark in pouring rain wasn't easy.

The location is excellent, just a couple of minutes walk and you are in the shambles and main town and so close to the minster and all the other great sites to visit. It was very clean and warm. So many restaurants on the doorstep too.

Nothing to dislike other than worrying that we were disturbing neighbours with the squeaky floors? Bed was very hard and the sofa cushions kept sinking into the base of the sofa due to it being a sofa bed I guess but we still enjoyed everything about our stay.
