Luxury Apartment Opposite The Shambles

The location was absolutely perfect Right in the middle of lots of pubs and other attractions

The apartment was very dated. It once was luxury, but has not been updated. The over the bath is very rusty. The bath side is peeling due to water damage. The bath itself very slippy and there are not any it is quite a step down with an unstable foot.bars to hold when getting out of the shower.

Great location, spacious with all facilities. Would definitely recommend. Great value for money!

The apartment was stylish.

It was impossibly noisy , we have come home exhausted having had such bad nights sleep . Please fix the window that every one else has mentioned. The rain shower head was absolutely filthy. I would not use it . No instant coffee ??? That's ridiculous.

Excellent location near The Shambles. Walking distance to everything we wanted to see in the city. Clean and beautifully presented apartment. We only really made tea and toast as we were out most of the time - we didn’t use the other facilities in the kitchen.

There is glass missing from one of the inner windows in the bedroom which would explain why we could hear a lot of noise from the street during the night (loud ‘merry’ people and loud engines - I’m assuming students as it’s half term).

The location was really nice and the apartment was secure and easy to find. The bed was comfy and clean. Nice relaxing feeling to the living room and a well equipped kitchen area. Underfloor heating in the bathroom was very nice.

The bath water was a bit cold. I think that the whole place could've done with a deep clean. Also some extra towels would've been helpful especially as we were staying 4 nights. The secondary glazing in the bedroom needs fixing as it let's in a lot of road noise.

We liked the location, which was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. We liked the Super King bed, very comfortable, and the apartment was lovely and spacious. M&S, which was opposite, was great for supplies.

We couldn't shut the window in the bedroom. In the evening, it was extremely noisy from the street, and cars beeping after 11pm caused restless sleep. Only 2 rolls of toilet roll were left. There was only 1 baking tray in the kitchen and one tea towel.

I love the location and how beautiful the apartment is . In fact this is my second time this year x

Dear Kathy, Thank you for your response. I appreciate that the glass pane is due to be replaced; however, this does not address the impact on my stay. This was a three-night booking, and both my wife and I have been unable to sleep properly throughout due to the excessive noise caused by the missing pane. As a result, I am very disappointed. While we did confirm and pay for the booking in advance, we were not made aware prior to arrival that a pane of glass in the bedroom window was missing. This is material information that directly affects the comfort and suitability of the accommodation. Had we been made aware, we would have had the opportunity to make alternative arrangements. I understand that you are unable to control external street noise; however, it is clear from the lounge area that the secondary glazing is effective when intact. This demonstrates that the noise would have been at a tolerable level had the bedroom window been in proper condition. While I understand that replacement glass may take time, this issue was known in advance. Under these circumstances, I would have expected it to be resolved prior to our arrival or for suitable alternative arrangements to have been offered. I am also still awaiting an explanation regarding the loud vibrating noise in the lounge, which was strong enough to visibly shake fixtures and has occurred more than once. This remains both concerning and unresolved. Given that these issues have affected the entirety of our stay, I look forward to your prompt response. Kind regards, Jorge Fernandes

Location is central and in a great atmospheric area, communication was also timely.

Lack of welcome package such as small loaf/milk jams etc but not really a massive problem just an observation as the property is very period and well considered.
