Luxury Living, Stylish Modern Apartment in the Heart of Ryde

The location of the apartment is fantastic and in central Ryde town. Lots of amenities all within easy walking distance. There are plenty places to eat and drink. Special mentions to; The Veterans Pub and Wight's Fish & Chips. We parked on George Street, just around the corner, it is free on one side of the road. The apartment is well presented over two floors, all rooms are a good size, clean and stylish. The apartment has two double bedrooms, one with an ensuite, and a double sofa bed in the lounge. There are dinning tables in both the lounge and kitchen. Plenty of transport links to all areas of the island at Ryde seafront, Will definitely book again!

There were some minor areas of improvement that would benefit future users, however these did not distract from our stay so I feel happy to email the lettings agency separately and provide constructive feedback.

Rooms were clean, spacious, and good.

The entrance needs to be clean, clear the grass grown on the entrance, bed sheets, and pillow cover need to be changed.

the outside deck area at entrance is shared with other properties and was littered with cigarette butts and some scattered rubbish

Lots of steep steps to the property very dirty and slippery outside area no cleaning products left for use eg dishwasher tablets washing up bowl

Everything - 4 x over 60yrs old women had to climb stairs, darkness, filthy grounds, drug dealers around the location & opposite property. Friend slipped outside due to bad and slippery flooring. Friend suffering with a bad heart walking up nasty staircase where used needles were seen on the ground. We all felt vulnerable and scared as different men & women were hanging around the property whilst drug dealers were dealing. We have taken plenty of photos in order to fight for our monies back. There was a fraudulent transaction made from my credit card, which was fraudulent as I did not give anyone the authority to withdraw funds for a property we did not book. Our order for Rose Cottage was made and paid on 24th April 2024, 7 days later it was cancelled by somebody accusing me for that cancellation, then on the 1st May 2024 another property replaced what we booked for and funds was taken from my credit showing the price of the replacement property which I did not give authority for this transaction the same I did not give authority to cancel our original booking. At this point we were not aware that the property had changed because we did not received any notification of this. It all came to light upon arrival at Rose Cottage on the 18th October that somebody else was there already. We then checked the information received a couple of days before our travel did we then realise, We've been scammed. This situation is and will be taken forward for investigation as nobody is providing evidence or proof that I made this cancellation. A gentleman by the name of Salim asked for my email address via chat in order to send a code for the ferry, the code sent was not accepted by Wightlink ferries. We have taken loads of photos of the property pushed on us in order to fight for our money back. Vulnerable women located in a dark, backstreet area and an area where drugs dealings were happening.
