"Lovely relaxing experience"

10.0

super location in historic Micklegate one of the places to start the city walls walk and easy walking from the station and to all the York attractions. Buses outside the door. for those who preferred them. Despite the busy at times street - inside was very quiet especially at the back where the bedrooms were. The whole place is a historical gem and you would have no idea of it's existence looking at it's façade above the bookshop. Loads of space and everything very clean. Huge comfy sofas and a lovely long heavy wooden dining table.

just one thing - the second bedroom could have done with a light above the bed or at least a switch to turn the main light off. The main light was very bright so a dimmer switch would help - and although there was a lamp - it was on the other side of the room.

Livingroom and history

Second bedroom was far too small for the money but the bed was comfortable

"It was beautiful apartment with a great location; minor improvements would make it fantastic."

7.0

Location was good; it was close to the city centre as well as the train station. We had been looking for a place to accommodate five people, and it was sufficient. The aesthetics were great, and the kitchen was spacious and well-accommodated.

1) Doors in master bedroom didn't latch - both the bedroom and bathroom doors. 2) The en suite bathroom didn't have shelves, the mirror was in an inconvenient location (opposite of the sink), and the shower was perilous to enter (high step, with sloping ceiling). 3) We saw that there was a NesCafe and bought pods to use, but the machine didn't work (likely needed cleaning). 4) Sound-proofing the front room would mitigate the sound from the nightclub across the street. 5) For guests with accessibility concerns, there were several sets of stairs. Carrying luggage was an unwieldy process.

This place definitely has the wow factor when you walk in. Beautifully decorated and very spacious. Right in the centre of town so everything in walking distance. You have to park in the car park about 10 mins walk but other than that very delightful place to stay.

"It was local and made our stay easy to access all things in York."

8.0

The property was lovely and close to the centre. We really felt like we were staying in the authentic York buildings you imagine when you think of York!

There wasn’t an outside area that we could use and it was noisy on an evening specifically for the person staying on the sofa bed.

"Loved it! Took my mum and a couple of friends to see my son in York. Had the best time ever."

Fabulous location, charm and size of the property, fully equipped kitchen, gorgeous en-suite and comfy beds.

Bigger towels please. Larger sofa bed in lounge required- not quite adult size.

"Perfect family friendly apartment, with amazing period features, in great central location."

9.0

Lovely spacious apartment with beautiful period features and very nice finish. Everything you could need supplied and beds/sofas very comfy and warm. Location was excellent. Short walk from the train station and close to all York has to offer.

A little noisy if you have someone sleeping in the extra bed in the sitting room, just as this is on the street. However the bedrooms to the rear are very quiet.

Location was very convenient to the old town and the train station. The flat was truly beautiful.

There was a mouldy coffee bag in the coffee plunge pot when we arrived.

"Was wonderful loved everything about it"

It was beautiful lovely and clean .

The bathroom doors wouldn’t lock . With girls they need privacy . Suggestion maybe a welcome hamper or family games for people staying .
