Portland Street with Free Parking

The parking and the location were good as was the cleanliness.

The TV and Wi-Fi were awful , there was VERY basic equipment in the kitchen, and the decoration was very bare.

The location is great. Right by one of the city gates so easy access to the city centre by foot. Lots of nice little shops and cafes nearby. The on-site parking was a huge bonus.

The access code to the property was not clear from the photos we were sent so we had to get in touch to get the code. This could be easily rectified. We got a quick response for the code so it didn't cause us a problem but had we been arriving late at night things may have been very different. Personally I found the traffic noise disturbing but my husband did not. It woke me up early even on a Sunday because the bedroom window overlooks a busy road and the windows are only single glazed. The kitchen could do with a bit more crockery - very minimal!

The flat was so handy for York as only a 10 min walk The flat had everything we needed and a bonus to have car park.Would stay there again

The carpet could do with a clean in lounge as a couple of stains

Central location Clean and spacious

Good location with parking. Large apartment, fully equipped kitchen. I couldn't find the email on the day of traveling with the information about keysafe or postcode. I phoned the office and the person was great, resending email to me and calming my stress.

There was only 1 bin in the whole apartment which was in the kitchen. There should definitely be one in the toilet for ladies hygiene items but a bin in another room would be beneficial aswell. The smell from the bins outside was very strong in the single bedroom but I appreciate we were having a heatwave. The tv in the lounge only had a few channels on which was disappointing, not sure about bedroom tvs as didn't put them on. The fridge wasn't turned on which we didn't realise til the next morning but the freezer was, not sure why they both were not.

Very spacious, considering how close to York centre. Shower and bath was straight forward to use. Kitchen had all you needed if cooking from scratch.

Tv signal in living room didn’t work,but wifi worked nearly throughout. Wasn’t there long enough to watch tv. More a base to explore York.

Location and parking - when the car that was in the parking place actually left?! Lots of room in property. Good facilities.

Traffic/street noise. There was a car parked in our reserved space for at least 2 1/2 hours.

Fab location. A very short walk to York Minster and the town centre. Facilities good and clean. Beds comfortable. Easy access and free parking space. Information re check in provided was straightforward.

Windows could benefit from insulation to minimise the noise from the busy road in the main bedroom.

Location and free parking. Staff were quick to react to light bulb replacements. Central heating worked well on chilly mornings.

Doors, carpets, inside windows were dirty. Carpets had been vacuumed but had stains. Freezer and fridge were turned off, leading to the freezer defrosting on the kitchen floor. Sound through windows were as if windows were open, no sound proofing.
