Lovely location and very large apartments with everything you need!

Overall I like it all but I will say the kettle was full of scale and couple of suspect stains on the bedframe

Had everything we wanted. Location was perfect. Parking was great.

Couldn’t find our way in so bit confusing.

The apartment is perfectly located, within short, easy walks of everything, and clean, modern and comfortable. The secure parking underneath was an excellent bonus. (The last pictures on the profile are of the reception, and the jute welcome bag in the photo is a paper bag of a few tabags coffee bags and milk sachets, so maybe remove that one.) The arrival instructions are easy to follow. We had a lovely Sunday lunch in the Guy Fawkes restaurant, my husband said it was the best steak pie he'd ever had! The Pavement Vaults bar at the other end of this road had a nice, relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend Waterhront apartment and would stay here again if we come back to York.

The accommodation is in a fantastic location, close to the centre of York, and parking is included. The bed was comfortable and the shower nice. The view over the river is lovely.

- The reception area and lift smelt like sewage. - The check in instructions were confusing. We couldn't open the parking gate using the fob. After calling York Stays they said the battery likely needed to replaced and that a colleague would be with us momentarily to do so; they confirmed no code was needed to get in. The YorkStays staff member never appeared. Ater calling a second time, a person appeared and said that we needed to hold #1 on the fob for the gate to open. I explained that the two people we spoke with in the Yorkstays office via phone said there was no code, and there is nothing in the welcome pack about a code. She was blase, seemingly oblivious to the inconvenience and repeated that the code is #1. An apology would have been welcomed for the inconvenience. - The accommodation is HOT. All rooms stayed >23C and up to 30C (which you can tell from the thermometer to each room - sadly no AC). When you open the bedroom window, the curtains are too thick to let air in, and if you position the curtains the other side of the window so air can come in, light floods in from the adjacent accommodation stairwell. It's noisy at the weekend too. There is a great window that opens in the living room, but again it has instructions and was challenging to close properly. - The TV remote wasn't working well, and the reception going in and out. - So many emails before the trip from both Booking.com and YorkStays. - The bathroom could have had a shelf in the shower and outside to store toiletries. There was a shower stool for sitting on, but the shape of this was not ideal for storing toiletries. - Overall the flat looks nice but is clearly made / decorated on the cheap and needs some general DIY maintenance, and perhaps also a refresh of the welcome pack.

There was a strong smell of sewage in the entry hall, didn't affect the accommodation but unpleasant to walk through! Only other small thing, crockery and utensils weren't the cleanest, no biggie as they provide cleaning stuff, but only thing I would say could be improved. Would definitely return.

No air con tv did not have good signal
