Poppy's Place Cupar

Good location, spacious, comfortable

A very comfortable and cosy apartment with well equipped kitchen including dishwasher. Good location in the centre of town with easy access for public transport. Owner helpful and easy to contact.

Nothing about Poppy's place, Cupar itself was ok

Everything, the first bed we tried was so foisty we couldn't lay in it more than one minute, we had to leave all the windows cracked open and the bathroom fan on to try and sweeten the smell, all the draws had lavender or some other sort of perfume granules packs in them. There was no parking, a no cooking of pungent food instruction (due to poor ventilation), a warning over blocking the toilet. The occupant of the property above was stomping about from 06.10 every morning, sleep was impossible, we left a day early and only stayed so long because we had booked a restaurant table. I did inform the owner of this after we left by email.

Good location, in the centre of town. Was able to check in a bit earlier than the nominated time.

No reception / check in facility, mismatched furnishings, sticking doors on bedrooms and bathrooms, dicky tv remote, access to toilet was through bathroom.

Very central to Cupar, very clean, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, towels included.

Lack of parking.

Proximity to where we wanted to visit (St Andrews) and within walking distance of a local supermarket. Comfortable to sleep , relax , cook and wash . Quiet even though it’s next to a pub . Separate bedrooms and good value considering the very high prices in St Andrews.

My husband had to move the car to a car park nearby every morning at 8.30 to avoid the possibility of a parking ticket . A more honest description of the parking arrangements would’ve been useful. For example where paid overnight parking would be available and how long a walk it is from the property. When arriving we couldn’t find a place to park initially which was stressful after 8-9 hour Journey. A few disappointments that can easily be fixed in the apartment. The coffee machine didn’t work despite milk and coffee pods being made available. There was no rice or pasta sieve in an otherwise well equipped kitchen . Also the bedding and towels smelt musty as if they had stayed damp for too long after washing .
