"Never happened and I feel very lucky"

Once arriving in kleve after a long day I discovered that this property is actually a 40 to 45 minute walk from kleve station and a taxi is not much more than the room cost which doubles the price of the stay. Also the greedy host took the money 3 weeks before I even arrived.Never has any German property taken the money so fast, especially considering you should be able to cancel until a few days before staying according to the advert. If I had cancelled then I would have to wait on money they should never have taken so quickly. If in kleve without a car - DO NOT BOOK HERE. I would say don't book it at all. I have stayed and booked hundreds of properties in Germany over the years. Forget this one

The room was equipped with everything I needed (kitchen utensils, etc.; great for a solo traveler) and was very clean with beautiful oil paintings. The host was super kind and accommodated my requests! Plus, nice hiking/biking paths nearby and friendly neighborhood 🌳☺️
