CASA LOKO Guest House

Casa Loko is like an oasis away from the madness of busy Luxor. The apartments are spacious, very clean and comfortable. The excellent Wolf restaurant is also delivered to the door so you can just chill after a busy touristing hot day.

The place is very clean，spacious and nice with good decoration. It might be newly decorated or built. Also the facilities are well equipped with kitchenwares such as pot and pan, so you can cook some meal at home. The bathrooms are all very clean and without any smell. The host of the guest house is very helpful and solved many probs in time.

They have a WiFi device on 3 or 4th floor so if you are living on ground floor the connection would be poor. Also the 4g connection is weak. I asked if the staff can help me adjust the language of indrive fr Arabic to English but he said he can't help, but i made it at last.

We had a fantastic time at the wonderful Casa Loko. Mohamed and the team were very helpful with our family holiday, which included 2 young children, ourselves and my two older parents. 6 in total. The food ordered at the restaurant (Wolf) and delivered by Mohamed's team to our lovely apartment on a couple of evenings was delicious. Even my picky kids loved the pasta sauce! Egyptian food was amazing. I'm vegetarian/fish and had good options. The location was perfect. So quiet, very safe, friendly. The view was outstanding. 10 minutes to the Dock to get a boat over to Luxor for 100 Egyptian for all of us. The temples are all within walking distance from Luxor. The best thing about being on the West bank was how close we were to the Valley of the Kings, Queens, Nobels, Hatshepsut Temple, Howard Carter House, plus the amazing hot air balloons etc etc. So much to do and you can get a taxi directly there rather than do expensive guided trips, which didn't suit our group as that level of detail was too much for the kids. Quite nice to listen in to the odd guide as they walked past we found, without the kids getting bored. Mohamed offered trips like hot air balloon and all the other trips as well at a good price. It was amazing to get up very early to be 10 minutes to sites and there for openings. Very quiet before 9 am. Then heading home when it was hot by lunchtime (in February). Then relaxing in the Pool with some fab inflatables. I really recommend getting a little boat directly to Karnak Temple (slightly further north on the east bank) which we paid 300 Egyptian for. We avoided all the hassle (we used Ahmed Kenawi's boat loads as he and his brother spoke perfect English and showed us exactly where to go. I'm sure lots more speak English, but he also had a taxi which was helpful (he's on trip advisor). So grateful to have picked the perfect spot with the most wonderful host. Thank you to everyone for the superb apartment.

Nothing, it was perfect. Breakfast is expensive for what it is. Lots of lively places on the river front if you want a view and stunning huge breakfast instead. Not sure if Wolf do it too. But was handy for some days.

Casa Loko is an extraordinary, egyptian-swiss guesthouse. It ist located just a few minutes from the local center of the west-bank village of Luxor and also near to main sites such as Valley of Kings. The apartments' are of European standard. The nice garden yard has a small, wonderful clean pool and a bath is extremely refreshing! A hidden Juwel.

This family run facility was beyond our expectations. It is fully equipped will all necessary utilities. Whenever we needed any help about our stay and travel, Mohammed and Ibrahim were always ready to help. We stayed as family there and enjoyed it a lot. Looking forward to come back.

Great flat, clean and convenient

Overcharged transfers breakfast etc. - was disappointed by the service and felt scammed. There is no reason decent prices cannot be charged as this does not prevent the team from getting commissions.

Very nice place. Attentive staff. Great value for money.
