Damp bed and wet floor in kitchen No change of towels in four days

Spacious, comfortable accomodation just a 15 min walk from the city centre.

Property is in a good location. Convenient for local restaurants and a 15-20min walk to both train stations. The apartment was clean and tidy. Basic amenities. Hugo was an excellent host. Great communication and gave some good restaurant ideas which were excellent value. The walk to Ribiera is not far, again 15-20 minutes away so close enough but far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. Overall, a good property.

Not a deal breaker at all but perhaps some milk/water/juice would be a nice touch to have in the fridge for arriving guests.

Location very good. About 15 mins to walk to main areas. Very quiet area. Comfortable bed. Hugo & his father very helpful. Always answered any queries very quickly.

Building next door was empty so overlooked unkempt area at back of apartment. Steep stairs to apartment. Booking.com description not very clear. Thought only a few stairs. However Hugo kindly helped with our cases.

Ideal for us travelling as a couple, easy access to the city but away from the main noise. River view from the balcony

Very spacious, clean and comfortable apartment. Convenient to walk to city centre. Everything you would need was provided by the host. A very warm welcome on arrival. Would highly recommend. 😍

So much to love here...the dealings with the owner Hugo were 1st class. He was so prompt and available for any assistance or information, very obliging and professional. Much appreciated and a great welcome to a city we were also about to love! Could not have been happier with this location, views, proximity to both the tourist area and local town...even despite the 'historic' steep stone-paved Calcada das Carquejeiras as our quickest access to the river. Respect to these inspirational 'Gorse women', I couldn't complain walking up and down daily! Google it :) Apartment/all rooms are HUGE we had the ground floor with 2 double beds, nespresso machine...the only place that we stayed in 5 weeks of travelling that I felt inspired to cook dinner as kitchen/table so spacious and well equipped! We also did love our little window from bedroom directly onto the footpath/street, a little bit confronting when locals would walk past as we were sitting having a wine, lol but we soon got comfortable with it as it didnt seem to phase them any! :D Highly recommend and would stay here again, thanks Hugo :)

The ONLY critique I could make here is that I would have loved a comfier bed, a bit too firm for my hips in a week long stay! In saying that my husband was fine with it :)

Location was very good. 15-20 minute walk to the major tourists attractions and main tour company. Close to great restaurants and shopping.

Owner turned us away because we arrived before the check in time. He was kind enough to hold our luggage until the unit was ready. We explored the area a bit but it started to rain and it was cold. Cold and rain do not mix well. We felt miserable. His father finally opened the door to the unit but we were already cold, wet and miserable. The neighborhood was clean and safe enough. We did not have any issues with excessive noise although it did get a little loud on Saturday night.The front door opens to a bedroom with 2 beds and the living area is located at the back. There was only 1 window to the whole floorplan. It was a floor plan that I'm not used to. Only 1 bathroom and the bathtub/shower was a little small. Also there was a half shower door. Toiletries and towels were provided but the towels were stiff. I expected a softer quality for the money. There was hot water but the capacity was only 80 liters. After 80 liters, it takes about 20 minutes to get hot again. Beds were comfortable enough. I was hoping that the sofa would fold out into a sofa bed but it was not to be. My son slept on the sofa but he had a neck ache in the morning. Overall, it was a decent unit, but I will reserve a 2 bed/2 bath unit the next time I visit Porto with my 2 kids. Or else just get a hotel room with 2 queen beds and a sofa bed.
