Nicely renovated and decorated apartment. Done in quality and with aesthetic in mind.

Studio apartment has no windows which can be disturbing if one stays longer. For a day / night to explore the city it does not matter.

There was no downside

Dona Fernanda is a great host, with lots of great recommendations in the island of Santiago, she also organised us all the travels from the port and to the airport. The apartment is clean, neat, tidy, great bed, has everything you need for a comfortable stay in Praia, is also quite central, right in the Plateau, the main neighbourhood in the city.

We had the ground floor studio (the right handed one). The place itself is great, great quality furniture (sturdy real wood), very nice and good taste decoration. Very clean place (impeccable cleanness). It seems equipped with the necessary things (not sure about kitchen things as we did not need). I will explain below why, nevertheless, over-all I rated lower the place.

Just a personal point: because there is no window to look outside, for me the place becomes oppressive. The air-co is placed in such a way that blows on the bed, directly on your head - we needed to sleep at the other side of the bed as we cannot sleep with the wind on our face. There was no hot water - an unexpected accident maybe - we arrived at night, after 6h travel and the next morning we would go for another 12h travel. My complaint is that the owner did not propose any discount for this problem that obviously belonged to the establishment, we paid 50 euro for a few hours sleep and a shower that we could not have (which was very unpleasant with the heat and the travels)...
