The property is well decorated with a good fitted kitchen and plenty of quality appliances. There are 3 TVs in the property, including a very large one in the living room. The WiFi in the property is a good speed and supports streaming, gaming. The property was on the grounds of the owner, but still very private, with a lovely fenced off garden area that felt like out own. The view of the moors is great, as are the visiting bunny rabbits in the morning and evening a well as the owners 2 very friendly dogs. This is a very well appointed, relaxing and private place to stay, we would come back.

This is nothing to do with the property or the owners, the location is beautiful, except for the road noise that peaks in the morning and evening and even here it is possible to tune out the main road, the smaller access road to the property occasionally have some nutter doing about 60mph down it - which is disturbing. The garden is well fenced off and safe, I wish some did not need to drive like this.

Had the most perfect, memorable birthday weekend at this stunning lodge. The location was tranquil & idyllic with amazing views. Our little dog Blossom loved it too! It was definitely the recharge we needed and we will no doubt be returning (I’ve already been looking for next year) Very close to Chatsworth Farm shop which we used for a BBQ. Village of Baslow is as pretty as a picture with lots of lovely pubs, cafes & shops. Thomson & Vosper is well worth a visit for beautiful, handmade home furnishings. Host was super attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. The lodge is like home from home. Highly recommend this gem of a property!

There is absolutely nothing not to like.

The place was clean and very comfortable. Great communication, area was great for activities.

The location is beautiful, the lodge sits a few miles from Bakewell and Buxton, on the edge of the Chatsworth estate.

Perfect location, quiet rural area. Accommodation was well equipped, clean and comfortable. Some extra additions like toiletries, biscuits & jam were a lovely treat.

Not much to dislike but it was very warm on the upper floor so a fan would have been an advantage plus a couple of egg cups in the kitchen but I'm being picky!

A really nice cozy place. It had all of the things that we needed for our stay. The rooms were all very clean and everything was prepared. The owners were also very nice and welcoming.

It was a bit close to a busy road, and you could sometimes hear the traffic.

Good scenery. In a great location so wasn’t too far from anywhere. Our dog loved being around the little house too.
